Hey, Here's a radical thought:
IF the school district's per-pupil education cost is one of the lowest in the state, why would anyone complain about the budget?
Seems like there ought to be praise for all associated with operating the schools.
Pepperell would not mind paying more for education if they saw the money being used wisely and managed properly. The problem is that Pepperell does not have any confidence in the superintendent. She is not the right person for the job.So if Townsend shares Pepperell's frustration, they should start speaking up instead of being satisfied with the status quo. There are three schools who have not been making adequate yearly progress, yet we keep on spending more money on administrator's salaries.

the december 13th pepperell selectmens meeting agenda called for exectutive session for the stated purpose,
Executive Session
Preliminary Strategy Session Contract Negotiations"

but it seems our $100,000 town administrator left the camera and tape on when our selectmen went in to executive session.($100,000 per year and big time pension and he doesn't even have to stay awake) the tape for the regular session was replayed on charter cable and included the executive session - with all the eff bombs and illegal topics discussed. filthy language, trashing of non-union town employees by name, and, political conspiracies for the whole world to see. yes, we're frustrated in pepperell. its frustrating to see how our tax dollars are spent and the contempt our selectmen have for the law. joe sergi promised transparency but this is rediculous.

Why do teachers keep demanding raises? As far as I know 2+2 still equals 4 and Washington was the first President. It must be tougher being a teacher today.
