Thank you. I'm glad you noticed that I know so much. I usually would get upset by this point and respond in childish ways in the same way you have by telling me that I'm ignorant and I should go F myself. However it hit me early on that you really have no clue as to what actually goes on around you so why would I get upset by you? I even tried to not respond and you still had comments even after you said you were done with me. So I do agree that it has been entertaining. Now come to find out you have no idea who the guy is that you are defending. That is funny. Bottom line is I haven't changed my point of view and still feel that west campus needs torn down. I do not expect you or anyone else to understand me or my reasoning. Merle (the current owner) isn't the one who hired Demolition Excavating Group and found out they were dumping illegally out by Powerton and fined them. The city of Pekin decided to begin tearing the buildings down and hired the wrong people. So it looks like Pekin would be the "slumlord" and therefore should pay to remove the debris. Why else would Pekin be doing a fundraiser to raise the money to remove the debris? A real simple solution to all of this is for Pekin to pay the money and then sue Merle to recoup the money. Problem solved.

LMAO. You judge from the outside and assume the worst. Your right I sure do not know the guy I am defending. I get my information from people that do know him and have worked with him and all I hear is good things and praise for things he has done. I have worked several construction jobs that have done business with him as well and they all commend his work as well. How funny is that? Again you assume I know nothing, yet you are the one that knows nothing. Merle(the current owner)bought the building and let is sit almost 20 years without even mowing a blade of grass. He didnt want to lose money over giving this building up but yet didn't put a minutes worth of effort into improving the structure. Merle is also the owner of several apartment structures that are crap and this gives him the title "Slum Lord", not West Campus. So yes, I agree that Merle should be sued for what everyone else has to deal with, but that is not the topic of the post, nor was it brought up by you until now, so that was never addressed by me. I agree with the city that the buildings that were tore down(Red Building, Leeway) needed to be tore down because they were dangerous. I agree with the steps they took to take these buildings down. It's not their fault the company did not do the job correctly. But, the main building is different. It has potential. A lot of work yes, but if someone is willing to invest the money and work into it then I wish them the best of luck.
