YOUR quote confirms what a strong, intelligent woman Dr. D is, she is exactly the kind of woman that lesser men cannot deal with. LOL The "parts" must be quite small.

I think all of you have a point. I believe a certain level of actual experience, especially with human dynamics, might prove to be beneficial for Dr. D. I agree having the ability to spout the academics is important to her credibility, but it might be a stretch to say she knows what she is talking about, thus to apply inner knowledge effectively. Her organization and the way she can handle an attorney's questions are admirable, much better than the two defense witnesses. She's intelligent, capable, but green.

You're actually making my point and you don't even know it. First of all you trumpet that "I'm 51, experienced and hold a Master of Science" yet you use such bad grammar as "your a moron". A truly educated person would know better. Secondly, a truly educated person would know enough to respect the specific direction of this forum to "be polite". Calling someone a moron violates this standard, imo. Common insults, cheap name-calling, are, imo, hallmarks of the unlettered, pretentious frauds among us.
Wait a second Dave, as I recall you are the one that started the name calling. Go back and read your first post.

I'll never forget De. DeMarte frustrating Lawyer Barbie JW getting so frustrated that she murmured
"b * t c h" under her breath because she had to flip through papers. Were the blisters on her heels hurting from all the walks of shame up to see the judge? Was her spanx pinching her? Has she finally gotten tired of Jodi incessantly whispering in her ear and writing her notes?

She never was able to rope Dr. DeMarte into responding in anger. Is Dr. DeMarte through testifying?

It would be funny if the defense got caught for having someone break in and taking the laptop. It seems suspect. Was anything else taken from her home? It's a beautiful home. Is JW jealous?

Hey Jillian
Thanks for your response. In a way you're right, but prob'ly not in the way you'd like. I AM one out there and proudly so. I'm rational, sober, fair-minded and (not wanting to pull rank here) a well-qualified, experienced professional clinician, so I know what I'm talking about in this field. I can spot an upstart, pushy greenhorn a mile off. For chrissakes, this woman just got outta high school and now she wants to pontificate about profound human affairs. Also, you failed to grasp my point about the U.S. presidency, but oh well.
Dave, you're from Canada. Stay out of our affairs.

Trish, did you see how Demarte wilted like lettuce in the sun under Jen Wilmot's withering cross ex? Your heroine ended up looking like a blithering idiot, evasive and refusing to answer yes or no while Jen showed much class by refusing to imitate your other hero Juan Valdez, er, Martinez, and becoming nasty like him. Demarte put on a slick, glib facade that Jen tore down leaving her visibly chastened. This neophyte is clearly out of her depth, imo.
Dave, "wilted like lettuce", "withering cross"? Clearing you were not watching the same trial as was broadcast here in the States. Wilmot is sophomoric. Her giggles, eye rolling, and note passing with her murdering client are at best, unprofessional. Further, it's difficult to take her seriously. Finally, it appears that you may know this woman as you refer to her as "Jen"... Hmmm

People, people, let us not forget what this is all about. A young man was slaughtered like an animal and so many people wonder and worry about every thing but that. Don't you MEN understand what Jodi's defense means. It's ok to kill a man if he does not want to marry you. A woman can just say "he abused" me. It is not right to accuse someone of something that you cannot prove. It does not have to be proven she killed Travis, she said she did it !

We are friends with a history. During the first five minutes under cross, she put on her snarl and became arugmentative.

I could buy four of her houses in Az, for what my 2 bdr condo in LA would sell for. TA had a house like hers...LOL

There is something about the dynamics of attactiveness that you do not understand. Nothing for Wilmont to be jealous of. LA Guy previously pointed out that he felt that Dr DM held an animus towards JA and Wilmont, on the mere petty basis of them being on the higher end on the looks scale. I tried to give Dr DM a chance, like I have previously done with overtly homel women who I have even dated, becasue there was something nice about them. Then she started talking and I listened for a few hours. Angy, Meau and ugly.

Four houses in Arizona at the price paid at the last sale would be roughly
1,300,000. I prefer her house to Travis Alexander's, but I don't care for the typical houses in Arizona where a builder goes in and builds the same house multiple times with little variation except maybe flipping the floor plan.

I'd surely like whomever broke into her lovely home to get caught and go to jail.
Doesn't anyone have video cams/surveillance in Arizona? Gates?
Any kind of deterrent to break-ins?

I also hope they get caught.

Hey, decent 2 bdr condos in LA are $500k

OK, as to DR DM, she did provide some accurate information, in a general sense, OK ... but could not even budge on the cruelest of his mssges amounting to abusive

Yeah, and the best the pros could come up with was a relatively inexperienced neophyte, slavishly beholden to the DSM. Doesn't say much for their pickings, does it?

You're great Alex, but you forgot to mention her repeated "palinisms" (a la Sarah Palin) e.g. use of the term "verbage" - a non-existent word. So much for modern, up-to-date education I'd say.[Google the Palin-verbage reference if your curiosity gets the better of you - lol]

Missed your post, until Dave's response.

Hope you do not mind if I incorporate "Vocal Fry" into my lexicon.

Dave you sound old and crusty. She is fully trained and more qualified than some of the other witness's. Forenic work is not therapy. Are you saying that we should not let young fully trained Doctors treat us. Or should we always go to some old out of date Doctor. Its arrogance like yours that makes you one of the closed minded old people that should retire from the profession. There are new ideas and technics everyday. Learn from the youth as they learn from you and you will stay young and up to date.
Sorry to disappoint you Lex, but although not quite a spring chicken, I'm still something of a young buck! So there! Like many other simplistic folk, you're confusing OBJECTIVE physical sciences with essentially-SUBJECTIVE psychosocial "science". This essential subjectivity will remain until such time as objective evidence such a brain scan is relied upon for forming psychosocial opinions, instead of this MUMBO_JUMBO VOODOO "science" of the DSM, and assorted psychological tests, you know, the alphabet soup of MCMI, MMPI ad nauseam. That day of REAL SCIENCE will surely come (just as DNA came)but it ain't here yet, OK? Til then, the best we're gonna have to help determine such profoundly human issues as LIFE or DEATH are solidly-experienced folk like ALYCE LAVIOLETTE and not some freshly-minted psychological licentiate the vast majority of whose adult life experience to date has been in the halls of academe.

You want to know how up-to-date us experienced clinical practitioners are? Well, we're heavy into brain scans, and the latest reseach findings in neuropschology aand neuropsychiatry and are waiting with bated breath for the evolution of this REAL science, not this horse-and-buggy DSM, MMPI etc, that your heroine seems so fond of for her smug, dogmatic and inflexible positions.
Case in point : She was so SURE that Jodi was "Borderline" and would fit into her Procrustean bed based partly on account of her seemingly hasty conversion to Mormonism. When asked by Ms. Wilmott whether,(as a posible alternative explanation for her seemingly rapid conversion), she knew that Jodi was heavily proselytized by Mormon missionaries on a weekly basis at the behest of Mr. Alexander, she appeared DUMBFOUNDED, admitting sheepishly that she did not know that. A mark of the neophyte, imo
