why didnt Peoria file charges against the local TV station for airing episodes of AMERICA'S FUNNIEST. I see all sorts of little kiddie naked bottoms on that show and no one filed charges against ABC, its affiliates or the viewers who sent in their videos!

There's always an extremist somewhere in the crowd! In this case, it's a nutty hero-wanna-be in Wal-Mart who's parents didnt teach them any common sense. I'm down-right sick and tired of putting things "nicely" and excusing such blatant stupidity. No, there is not excuse for allowing this under the better-safe-than-sorry guise because that type of thinking on the extreme end only made this family and its children victims of people who want to be heros, get a promotion, or who have no common sense. We must teach our kids to be more steely than this. There will always be perverts in the world. And someone will always be peeking up a girl's skirt, peeping, etc. But that doesnt mean naked kids are in family photos are kiddie porn.

I am a Denver law officer and I agree with you on much of what you posted. However, I think you are very naive when it comes to situations such as this. Did you know that police (gestapo) are required by law to report incidents of child abuse, neglect, exploitation? In fact, a police officer could be jailed for failure to report such things. Cops are just doing their jobs in these cases trust me. Most of the time, we get called by social services personnel (the real gestapo)! They put the burden of reporting on the police. Most cops are family oriented and actually want limited government control when it comes to children. Put the blame on the real problem in the system. Police can only file reports and make arrests. Their decisions and work is checked by D.A.'s, social workers, judges and finally juries. Most of the time in these incidents it is the system (mandatory reporting etc) that start the investigation in the first place! So leave the p.d. out of your rant (I actually agree with most of what you posted with regards to the government intrusion)! I am a realist.
Did they allow the Nazi's to say "i was just doing my job"? No, police know that they can be helping out the people by other means than giving out parking tickits all day or arresting good parents for capturing a moment of their childs life. Every person involved in this situation had a chance to say " No sir i will not arrest these people and if you dont like that than here is my badge.

My god. Sorry for the Wal-Mart employees doing thier job. If they did not want those pictures to be seen by others, then next time they should have done it digital and got it develope in the kios system themselfs. Reason that the photo techs looks at the picture is so they can judge to see if the picture came out clear or black so the customer wont get charge for the screwed up picture. If you take the same pics to Walgreens or whoever else developes pictures, they will probably will do the samething. Now, if that employee is a perve or something, then he/she should be delt with by the company polocy. Where are the "pictures" at? kids in the bathtub having fun? Then the magazine companies along with any other advertisment should not have pictures of children ever again.

I think if taking a pitcher of your children in the bath is that bad. It should be against the law for a dad to give his daughter a bath or a mom her son to protect them from the potential foundling. And let’s not forget about changing dippers - that should be at least 10 years in jail for touching a Childs privets. What about divorce the children need to be divided by gender to keep them safe from being seen by the apposite sex. Also if one parent dies that they would haft to put the apposite gender in an orphanage so no bath time sexual assault could happen. Because we half to protect are children no mater what even if it scars them for life!

DAD in MN - were you trying to say something? You've got more misspellings than a fourth grader!

Back on topic - the WalMart employee, and all who did not nip this issue in the bud, need to be whacked with a bag of wet noodles. A baby's bottom is not necessarily perverted, but thinking it is - IS!

Cj- I'm sure DAD here is just another typical wal-mart shopper, Therefore we must cut him some slack.

I personally will not trade at wal-mart this corporate giant has one handedly ruined the fabric of America. In too many way's to go into here.

But needless to say DAD'S IQ is most typical for the folks that do not know any better than to trade at wal-mart.
