Agreed!!! My neighborhood looks so trashy right now with people painting their houses green, pink, grey, brown, etc. Next color I will see is a blue house. I thought that is what a homeowners association was supposed to prevent. Weed are everywhere, except my house, and I got a weed notice. I don't even have one weed in my front or back yard!!!

It's a shame that those of us paying our HOA fees, and who are original homeowners, cannot get reasonable service from the HOA.

And why do I have to pay $100 for a pool key? If I turn in my old pool key, can I have a new one? Haven't I already paid $$$Thousands in HOA fees? Ridiculous!!!!!

Along those same lines... what happened to the HOA standards on unused vehicles? I've got 4 within sight on my street, 3 on the curb and 2 of those with cobwebs on the tires! Now that more real estate agents are driving buyers through the neighborhoods, it makes the place look less attractive to see see vehicles covered in dirt and cobwebs right next to folks to clean their yard and maintain the "curb appeal". I know times are hard for everyone and most of my street is rentals, but isn't that where an HOA was to step in and help maintain their standards? Sorry if this sounds like a rant, but that's my 2 cents.

If the HOA isn't reliable, then why aren't you attending the HOA meetings? I go and there are maybe 5 residents attending the meetings. Quit complaining and get involved.

What are we paying HOA dues for? Houses look like they are falling down, yards are full of weeds, parks are dull and basic, our mailboxes are old and have no security, anyone can walk by and steal our mail. Where is all our money going? And boy is the property management company quick to collect your money. Lonestar PM needs to use our money in better ways and upgrade our community.

I'm not a homeowner, I'm currently renting, but I agree with some of your complaints. I'm considering purchasing a home in Surprise, and already going through the headaches of an HOA, and understand what some of you are talking about. My family and I live in Ashton Ranch in Surprise. We are a quite, keep to ourselves type of family. We keep the landscaping up, cars in the drive not on the street, no trash in the yard, no loud music etc., We've had one of the greenest lawns in the neighborhood even during winter. You'd think we were the type of family that would be welcomed....NOT!!! They keep looking for little things to pick at us about. Their latest complaint was the trash and recycle bins on the side of the house. They have not always been there, and usually are in the backyard. However, if you drive through the neighborhood, you would find many others violating the same rule and many more. But I'm not too uptight about it. I simply hope for the sake of those trying to create problems my family and I, that when God's wrath falls upon you, he will have some mercy. Someday in the future we may move. You should pray that the slob or the thief, murderer, child molester, or worse, doesn't become your new neighbor. Things just have a funny way of working out that way !!

God Bless

If a vehicle has a current registration on it there is nothing the HOA can do. The home owner has a RIGHT to have the vehicle there.

I've lived in the neighborhood for 8 months and 8 days. From the first day my family moved into this neighborhood, we've always noticed unkept yards. Not once have I seen HOA come through the street I live on. There was a family that moved out and left trash in the yard, both front and back anf a garbage bin on the curb. I called HOA twice before that mess was taken care of. I just received a notice violation for that same garbage bin and weeds in the yard. My family and I have been out cleanung the yard all week ling and this HOA company decides to give a notice. I was on the telephone this past Friday and will be back on agaun with them come Monday morning. There's a need for a trip or two to some fellow neighbors whose yards are extremely unkept.

We have lived in a rental house in Kingswood Parke for almost 2yrs. We love the area but are not very happy about Lone Star Property Management! We have received notices for several things in those 2yrs such as a couple of small weeds in the yard, a HIGH tree branch that tipped slightly over the sidewalk, a few dead leaves on a shrub from frost and for a car parked next to our driveway on our rocks. I understand there has to be rules but I can go outside any given day and take pictures (which I did tonight) of yards with completely dead trees-large trees, a truck that has been parked half on the driveway and half on the rocks for months, LOTS of dead plants and shrubs...I could go on and on! Parked vehicles (large commercial trucks) on both sides of the street which makes it very difficult to turn onto the street. We have almost gotten hit several times because you cannot see past them and two cars cannot pass each other trying to go in either direction. I think a car parked next to your driveway-not obstructing anyone's view or trashing up the street looks much better than what they allow. They need to rewrite their CC&R's! I'm sure the people in the neighborhood that spy for them are probably the ones who live in the houses with the above mentioned violations.

I live in a rental in Ashton Ranch and I am atually ashamed to have friends and family come through this neighborhood to my home. Unkept yards with weeds and overgrown plants, neighbor with a green pool, and the non-running cars kept on the street, including a huge limousine! Yes I said a limo! And I might add is a big eye sore that is obviously not well taken care of with, the side panels do not match and the paint is ugly! I cannot believe that a HOA allows any of this!
It's hard to give directions with out saying make right then a right and look for the hideous limosine sitting in the street!
Hopefully people are receiving fines for their yards, their pools and cars that just sit in the streets. This is a neighborhood I definitely won't be looking to purchase in with these minor issues, I couldn't imagine the big issues.

I've lived in Kingswood Park for years- long enough to get the house paid off. I keep my front and back yard manicured and follow all of the rules. Now a guy moves in across from me and complains he can hear my dog barking INSIDE MY HOUSE with my windows closed while I am at work! I get a letter saying to fix the problem or I will be fined $75! Exactly what am I to do to remedy this? Very frustrating.
