I recently did business with this company March 27th to be exact. The representative at the hotel where they were set up in Albertville Ala. was very professional and appraised each piece separately. The offer he made was acceptable and he gave me a check when i got to the bank he had put a stop payment on the check. I tracked him down in Mississippi and caught him by surprise the reason he had stopped payment was because he said one of my pieces was not real.If the ring was not real that should have been made clear when he appraised it . The city of Albertville is investigating him for theft by deception, and operating a business without a license.Do Not do business with this company or any representative they are in my experience scam artists and thieves.I am now without the jewelry and have a worthless check . I will be filing suit against the individual and the company.

The Reason your check was not honored is because early in the day that your check was presented I purchased a 4.56 Carat Rectangular Cushion Cut VSII Fancy Vivid Yellow for $55,000. The party wanted a wire so I took of that for them. Puttin me short in the account. I took a deposit into the bank but they wanted to put a 5 day hold. Bo Pearson my Business Mgr for Chase Bank told me not to worry that they would watch the acct and force pay any in overdraft. That next morning when he was supposed to "have my back" he went into training and 144 checks were wrongfully sent back. I had already wired an additional $100,000 into the acct. The funds were there and it was a terrible mistake by Chase. Chase handled all the customers that were effected and I was not charged any fees and they are to take care of all other fees for the customers. Bo Pearson from Chase Bank can be reached during normal business hours at six o two 261 1377 or on his cell at four eight o 620 0264. He will confirm exactly what I just said. I do sincerely appologize. Imagine how a business owner feels with 144 people just like who were effected. All checks were made good. Last month alone I paid out $1.6 Million in economies just like your town. I have hired over 30 people since the first of the year and feel like I'm doing more then my part to help people. Ask any of my employees how generous I am and how I make sure EVERYONE is ALWAYS taken care of. If you were not taken care of be sure to call Bo right away and you will be taken care of with out delay. We are in 15 to 20 cities accross America Each and week with Full Page ads. The phone rings not stop and I don't get to all calls. Bo has done a wonderful job in taking care of cleaning up HIS messs. Call him he will tell you exactly the same. That's exactly why it happened. This was a nightmare for a man who built this company from his basement of his home in Omaha NE. Now with over 50 employees then to have the darn bank screw with my perfect reputation. If you have any questions I have a list of references as long as my arm and can fax my bank records to show the $1.6 million on good business last month. Once you are taken care of can you please remove this. This in not nice.

Dear Kim,
As I stated to you on the phone when you called. My buyer called me shortly after you left the shop with the two checks you were written. One for the rings and one for something else. Evidently he tested the diamond ring with the Gemoro Diamond tester and it tested diamond. However, mysteriosly after you left with the rings you din't sell the one you left on the table didn't any longer test for a diamond. Frankly, had you talked to me in a decent tone instead of the way you did I would have listed more to your side. But frankly, when I offered to return your items you demanded the money instead. I am not in business to lose money. When you deal with the general public you will always have someone who will try to pull something. We are currently in the process of building our own website to show all the "positive press" we have received all over the country. If you would like to call me again and talk civil I am sure we can work this out to both of our satisfaction. As it stands now I have to back my employee. He's been with me a long time and has a golden reputation and would never do anything side ways. He believes the ring that was left was not the ring he tested. At any rate I was supposed to get back to you the other day and just got swampped. Give me a call and a chance and we will both be happy.

I recently went to a Duke's Coins event in California and couldn't be happier with the results. My grandmother had left me some outdated jewelry and I didn't know what to do with it. The Duke's Coins buyer gave me more money than any pawn or jewelry shop had offered me and I was extremely happy with the amount. I also recommended them to friends, who were equally satisfied.

I just wanted to say thank you to Duke Coin, I was recently at an event in Idaho and was comforted by the professionalism and honesty from who I worked with. I have been struggling somewhat with this economy and I had some old jewelry and rings I wanted to sell for cash, I tried pawn shops but wasn't offered much, and I was leery of those mail in companies. So when i saw the ad I was the first one in line Monday morning. I was compensated very generously for my items and walked out with $400 I didn't have the day before! So thank you for coming to our town and hope you will be back soon!

I was recently in Portorville, CA. at one of these coin buying events. I found out that you also purchased gold and silver. So I brought in a couple of coins and some of what I considered to be scrap gold. The 2 gentlemen in that town were very professional. They looked over my coins and my gold. After this they offered me a very reasonable price for my stuff, way more than I even expected. I then took the check for $450.00 to the bank and cashed it without an incedent. Thank you to Duke Coin for putting on these events and thank you to the two men that helped me out. It was a pleasure doing business with your company. I hope you come back soon.

I don't understand why people love to try and put other people down if something goes wrong with them that could have easily been corrected. I just sold 3 Gold coins at an event in California with Duke Coins for over $8,000 dollars and as a normal person, I was skeptical. After getting the check, I went to my bank and they wanted to hold the funds for 5 days. I went back to the event to see what we can do so I can get my funds the same day. The gentleman made a few phone calls, a Chase bank representative called my bank and I got my funds with no problem. For mature people, there's always a right and wrong way to handle problems. The company is legit and I know that first hand because I made over an $8,000 dollar transaction with them.

I recently went to Dukes show in Natchez with my grandfather. I was worried about the whole thing, but they were very nice to us. My grandfather and I made three trips to see them before we got all of our coins there. They took time to go through each coin and gave us great price for them. It totaled up to be over $6000. My grandfather is very happy and so am I.

My transaction with Duke's Coins was nothing but a very pleasant experience. The gentleman who bought my gold and coins was extemely knowledgeable and a joy to deal with. I received $1045.00 and had sent my gold to one of those TV ad companies and they offered 1/3 the price the Duke's Coin representative offered. I was very pleased and no trouble cashing my check.

Kim, As the representative that you dealt with, What I agreed to buy and what I paid you for was a diamond ring. What I discovered after you left was that the ring was NOT a diamond. I immediately called you and informed you that the diamond was not real and asked you to come back in to resolve the situation, which you said you would. When you failed to show up, We had no choice but to put a stop payment on that check. As you no doubt noticed, the check for the other transaction that you had with Duke Coins cleared without a problem.

Went to an event in Chico......middle of April.
Was just notified today the check bounced.
I was selling out dated, but valuable jewelry to start my son off in school...
I can't believe you run a decent business.
What a disappointment you are.

Hi Sam,
My bank gave me the #'s of Duke Coins, and JP Morgan/Chase Bank. Duke Coins had a full voice mailbox and would not allow me to talk to anyone. JP Morgan/Chase Bank in Peoria, Az. told me to go ahead and redeposit is, that there were sufficient funds. By following my banks suggestion, I tried to cash it at my local Chase Bank. They told me they weren't 'officially' a Chase bank....yet.
So, I redeposit it at my bank. I will know tomorrow, the 13th, if the check cleared.
One of my gripes is that I was charge $7, for a check that I took in good faith, trusted and didn't question. My bank refunded the $7.
I will post tomorrow what I find out.
I will personally, never deal with likes of Duke Coin again

My check bounced also, I also took a check in good faith and it turned into a mess. Bo with chase was rude to me and made me feel as if it were my fault for the additional charges caused by the Duke coins bad check. I recieved my check March 12th, It bounced and I was finely issued a check from the owner plus he paid for the bank fees himself. I got my money finely just last week (Almost 2 months later) after speaking for the first time with Mr. Duke. It took like 20+ calls. What an incovience, Mr Duke was polite, quick to listen, apologize and repaid the amount plus fees. He needs to take a second look at some of his employees though. I never knew why Bo with the Bank didn't re-issue a check as he stated he would and I never understood why he couldn't send it to my P.O.Box. Mr. Duke had no problem with it. I do understand what happened but it is NOT OK for "some employees" to constantly pass the buck and/or take a nasty tone because they made a mistake and have to fix it. If you go back and read you can see what happened and their is a phone number to call. Just keep on trying to call daily and leave messages.
