One thing bothers me... you can't win a lottery that you did not enter.

I guess that when one is struggling financially one would get desperate enough to believe such a lie and allow common sense to take a vacation. Please folks, watch out and remember that "If it's too good to be true, then is definitely is."

I guess I just don't understand why they repeated over and over again, that she was unemployed?
Any ideas?

Probably just to get sympathy for her. She is single, has kids, and no job. Like I said, she was desperate.

What a waste of time... so they figure out who it is,....(Drum roll)

Will China arrest them?

I doubt it!

Plenty of criminal hackers stateside...and pedophiles.

If people cannot reconize a scam or a phish then they shouldn't have a computer and internet access!(ditto for the kiddie hackers employeed by federal law enforcement agencies in Washington D.C and Columbus Ohio who break the law and leave a great big trail!)

I wonder when they will arrest the felon using the MERIT Network for sending DOS attacks to people who post messages they do not like on message boards like this? The Hatch Act forbids anyone from using a government computer to use these public message boards let alone use them to introduce malicioius computer code to a civilians home computer.

The higher in government a criminal is found....

The more severe should the punishment in the quest for justice!

Here is an example of a felony commited in Michigan!

How long before they USA has an Honest Attorney General who will actually sic the law on politicians and their appointees who break the law and violate the Constitution?

Too bad for criminals if the next president is honest and enforces the Constitution as he/she makes an "Oath of Office" to do!

Crime does not pay....and when it does it is time for citizens to take the law into their own hands!

-----

Interesting post, Neko. But the hoax in this particular article was received via regular mail. It has nothing to do with cyber crime.

it's that time of year so everyone should be wary.
everyone should also be on the lookout for skimmers on ATM machines as they seem to be getting more popular every year.
