If you think electing Powell will make any of your bad situations better, think again. The man has been on a power trip for years. He is an arrogant prick who will abuse his position to get revenge on people he doesn't like.

I know this is an old thread, but hopefully it will not die. The piss poor behavior of ECSD sure doesn't die.

Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that it IS LEGAL to video and audio tape a cop who is performing his duties as a cop. He is a public worker performing public work in public and therefore is not protected by the wiretap laws. This was determined by the Supreme Court, so don't let any cop tell you that you can't record them while they are performing their duties.

I say we all carry a camera or your smartphone, and anytime you see an ECSD in public peforming their duties, start recording. If you catch them doing something they shouldn't, put it on YOUTUBE.

My son's arrest photo shows he was beat up and the only altercation had to come from the Escambia County police that dragged him out of the vehicle. There's nothing we can do about it because we live in the "good ole boy state". Sorry this also happened to you. It doesn't take alot to get arrested in Escambia so people shouldn't be so judgemental.
I have a lot of stories of my runin with the law. Lol and I dont even have a record.

I worked with a group on a case this reminds me of that went on for 10 years. We finally got resolution when we learned that a member of the DA's office and many police officers were involved and that was why we were having so much trouble catching the perpetrators. This sounds to me like the same situation. Ok, I just read a couple of post. I am guessing a judge is involved in this too. We had to get 2 female US Senators involved in resolving our case eventually. I would contact VDay.org and see if they can help. They are a group of 1 billion, yes I did just say, 1 billion, people committed around the world to ending this kind of atrocity. Also another organization, who also helped end the situation I helped with was Code Pink http://www.codepink4peace.org/ I would suggest contacting both of these for support in stopping this.

You can either have them get ad guys off the street or use their turn signals. You can't have both.

I hear this comment often. I would like you to explain how taking a person into custody, providing housing, meals and laundering their clothes and linens makes the county money? and on top of that providing medical care. The inmates are charged a small booking fee and then a couple dollars a day. Most inmates don't have money and the bill goes unpaid.Oh and multiply this by 1500 and see how much money you make. Most "staph" infection is found in places such as Hospitals because of the large amount of antibiotic soaps the Staph becomes resistant. Please show me the math that makes the county money, and you might be able to get a job as the chief finance officer. Obviously you are a wiz with numbers.
Well it's not that hard to figure out... They charge for your stay in jail. If you are arrested with any money on you, they take it and keep it. Also court fees and fines. Probation and Pre Trial Diversion all cost money. Its not to hard to figure out. It all costs money. Even a public pretender costs money.... So yep that sounds like making money to me

So I'm watching MSNBC right now, and there is a special on sex slavery in the suburbs. I couldn't stop thinking how horrible this is, and where in the world was it going on? Soon it became apparent- Pensacola, FL was on national tv for the growth of sex slavery in the neighborhood. I was shocked. Not ONLY that, but the Escambia County Sheriff's Department openly ignored the kidnapping of the young girl and maintained that she was simply a runaway. When this poor girl- drugged, beaten, raped, and still traumatized, refused to be interrogated without a family member, the ECSD gave up the investigation! All of the assailants are known, but no one has been arrested! The sad thing is, I could believe that the ECSD would do something like this. At 17, I was hospitalized after being a victim of domestic violence. Because I was a minority, the ECSD came to interview me. The woman cop left me alone in the hospital room with the man. When I was crying too hard to even speak, he became disgusted and said that I was just trying to protect my attacker. No other action was taken to help me after he left the room.
Two years later, I was beaten by a group of people right in front of my house. When the ECSD arrived, my attackers openly confessed, AND dozens of photos were taken of my injuries. I was given a case number, and when I called the ECSD wondering why no action had been taken against my attackers, they informed me that my file was no where to be found. They LOST my file. I even spoke to the police officers who came to the scene, and they reaffirmed the loss of my file.
How the hell could this happen? What is wrong with this department?
I would like a name of the male officer If you will share, I am having the same problems.

No, it sounds like one of Escambia County Sheriff's Department paid officers, stalkers just trying to discredit. David Morgan has many, this county is saturated in financial and sexual corruption.
