Bob Sikes Bridge Toll Increase

I would like to know where the county government and the SRIA get off thinking that they have the reasoning and need for a toll increase to DOUBLE the toll on the Bob Sikes Bridge. I for one would like to see a detailed plan for the money generated and would love to sit down and talk with these people about other ways to generate the funds that they need. How is it the community's fault that they went $190,000 over budget in two months, and come on peacocks? really? what the hell? All of this hullabaloo over someone new moving into the neighborhood and starting problems, if you didnt like the peacocks you shouldn't have bought the house, simple as that! Don't go around stirring up trouble where there isn't any need to do so. Chime in and let me know what you think, I honestly think we should sit in on the next meeting and see if they have a plan yet, and really I think it should be the voters choice as to whether or not to raise the toll on a bridge that surely by now, should be paid off and no toll needed.

John, don't think I'm crazy, but your right!

I just visited Pensacola Beach and could not under stand why a 1960s bridge has a new toll plaza and is collecting tolls. I am wondering where the collected toll money goes? It certainly is not to the Bob Sikes bridge itself. I was wondering if it goes to maintaining the public beach?
