Rodney Sutton & the Florida Sigma Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Housing Corporation

Rodney Sutton, the President at Agri-Source Fuels, LLC, is the vice president of the Florida Sigma Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Housing Corporation. Tracy Anderson, Rodney Randle & Richard Stone are on the Board. Florida Sigma and Sigma Alpha Epsilon have long and honorable histories, as does the house corporation.

Through hard work, I discovered that the House Corporation approved an expenditure of $10,000 for a single Florida Sigma party. On another occasion, the House Corporation paid an attorney approximately $35,000 who expected to work for free! All previous attorneys had worked for free, and this attorney expected to work for free, and he was on the Board at the same time.

In total, this was $45,000 pulled from the coffers that should have been spent to benefit the Florida Sigma program, to hire tutors, provide scholarships, expand student housing or whatever the brotherhood at large might decide.

So far as I have been able to discern, these decisions were CONCEALED FROM THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP. I have asked for evidence to the contrary, but none has been provided.

"Further, this reminds me too much of when some of the same old cowards tried to ban me for life for being a part of the chapter that was responsible for destroying the original E house in 1999,...."

"You men should be acting as facilitators for the young college men.... Your time has passed. You all need to get out of the way, come together, and make decisions that empower the youth and the future of the Phi Alpha brotherhood."

"Very well put. I have never understood throughout this whole issue, if there was nothing to hide, why they didn't just answer the questions and move on. When that happens it makes me think there "is" something they are hiding.

I know ******** can seem annoying but he is usually on the moral side of the issues and can support his claims. His heart is in the right place.

It seems to me their request is the same as getting a lot of folks to say yes that someone should renounce their citizenship. Completely inappropriate.

A brother wrote an email addressing Rodney Sutton and the House Corporation's actions this way, "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." H. L. Mencken

L. Steiner wrote: "This whole situation disgusts me and worse yet this is a poor exhibition of brotherhood. So far no one has yet to explain to me what ********** has done to deserve to be expelled from House Corp.

"Sure he is a pain and annoying and a bit eccentric, but he has every right to express his views as every single one of us. The alumni ... should be setting a sterling example for the active chapter."

"They should show pledges and active brothers what brotherhood is about, not this petty infighting. This cliquish behavior is no different than the garbage that went on when I was an active brother and I find it very disappointing for a bunch of grown men. Until I receive a plausible explanation I must vote no."

Twenty-seven minutes later, Steiner flip-flopped, stating " Larry Hackney just gave me a quick rundown on what has been going on so please change my vote to yes."

I asked him for the details, but he has not shared them with me!

Another brother wrote: "Rodney [Sutton the House Corporation Treasurer] always was a pouting thing, wants no dissent....typical. That is the problem with narcissists, the mirror is always just slightly too small."
