My son has a computer science degree, but can't find a jop in Fond du Lac, WI. My son was working for Mercury Marine and got laid off early last year. He got a job at Walmart last fall and was doing ok, but the pay wasn't very good. He couldn't afford to pay his car payment so he lost that, he became late on his rent which I helped out. I would have helped out on his car, but he never told me. He was to embarrassed to mention it. After Christmas he was cut in hours and Walmart only was making everyone part time which was 20 hours per week, and at about $8.25 per hour is not enough to pay rent, heat, or electricity. My son recently was sick and couldn't afford to go to the doctor which Walmart needed an excuse why he wasn't at work, so now he got fired for not coming in to work. What kind of people are they that run these stores? They seem to have no conscience or care for peoples lives. He now has no job and I helped move him back home.
Very simple. Walmart has most small towns by the balls. People turned their backs on local merchants and they went out of business. Now good ole Wallyworld can do what they want because it's all that's left . It's not all The store's fault. When Sam was alive,he had both domestic and imported items on the shelves and pushed the fact but We,US,the consumers reached over American made for imported crap and immediately after Sam's death, the corporation got rid of the American made products. Now when they are all that's left in town and all they carry is import, whatcha gonna do? They can keep the employees under forty hours and not have to pay benefits. More money for the corporation and the stockholders. The cute little puppy dog has turned into a vicious pit bull and is biting us all in the butt. We caused the problem,We have to fix it!

I stopped shopping at Walmarts years ago. It seems that almost every item they sell there is made in China. I am an american and choose to support america by buying american products. If people would only take the time to check where the products they buy was made and only buy american or atleast mostly american we would be in a better place. But it is too much trouble for people to make sure they are buying made in america. I am a very poor american with no job and do not get government assistance, I will pay alittle more for a product made in america than to save a buck buying from another country. If you do not make an effort, then do not complain how your country is. MADE IN AMERICA is the only way to go!!!
