Don't you think you're leaving out a few little details here? There's parts missing to your puzzle.

Thomas is correct - there are missing parts to that wild story. Camelot school deals with students with bad behavior and discipline problems. This lady told some of us parents that he got hurt fighting other kids, then changed her story when she thought she could get some money. Her son acted horrible and needed to be in jail. The Camelot people do a good job with kids that can't behave in school. My son has made a big improvement and just went back to his old school.

Rarents don't want to admit that have failed raising their child to get along with others in society. It's always someone else's fault but their own. Making a baby is easy, being an effective parent is difficult.

Itís always blame the parents but I guess peer pressure and other environmental circumstances have no impact on the way a child grows and learns.
I was way more influenced by my friends then by my parents. The minute I walked out that door to go to school, I was my own person and did my own thing.
Do any of you remember being a child? Can you honestly say that everything you did wrong was your parents fault? And donít even try to say you were the perfect kid and never did anything wrong

Kids keep getting into trouble when parents don't instill the fact that there are serious consequences for bad behavior. They let too much slide by and the word "NO" has no meaning so the kids wind up being the tail that wags the dog.Yes,I and many would consider that bad parenting or no parenting at all.

As usual, Tommy's head is in his ass:

"...two Camelot teachers were arrested and charged with battery on a student. The 2012 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test results were released on May 18. Camelot Academy has only one ninth grader reading on grade, according to the results. With only 10 tenth graders taking the test, the state didnít release those results... Bergosh has been very critical of A.A. Dixon charter school for its first year of low FCAT scores. Yet he has yet to remark about the violence and poor academic performance of Camelot."

Doesn't matter what the child's problems are, you don't let people that are supposed to be teaching & "guiding" them dislocate shoulders & beat them as a means of discipline.

Apparently things are being done differently there now.

In the back of your mind do think the dicipline problems before the administration changes may have been caused by the little angels that were sent to the alternative school for a reason? Yes,it is bad parenting when your kids can't be trusted to behave out of your sight. Whatever happens at these alternatine A.K.A.reform schools, is a drop in the bucket compared to what your little darling will indure in prison if the little light in their head doesn't turn on. Barney Fife was right when he said: "You need to nip it in the bud".

Most of those kids have deep seated problems that NO 2 parents could have handled anyway.
Chemical imbalances, suppressed/active memories of abuse resulting in unchecked anger/rage, genetic &/or medical issues that induce such behaviors- it's not all about discipline, you myopic microcephalic.
You're just a rule-worshipping control freak- it shows in everything you post.

So let's hear your ideas on how to handle "children" who physically attack teachers and other students, cause complete chaos and disrupt the learning enviroment of the other students who are really trying to do better, and display behavior of an wild animal out of a cage. No one wants to use the heavy hand but lets hear your solution to eliminating the problems at "alternative" schools.

well in oreintation you sign a contract saying what hapens to your children in school the staff isnt responseible and the staff doesnt beat them the restrain them if they fight back then they protect themselfs so dont blame the school

I used to go to camelot in pensacola florida most things you hear about the school are false the staff only protect themselfs if your child does adult actions, adult actions will be taken against them. And when you go to orientation they have you sign a contract saying anything that happens yo your child they are not responsible. So if your child gets hurt at school and comes home crying like a lil baby and says " the staff beat me " they are leaving out the part as to why the were RESTRAINED and not beaten

Your son was being very disrespectful so before u go off on what your son said listen too the students and teachers ! and ur son didn't have no black eye when he came back the next day and when he got restrained he came back fine , he just went back too acting a fool !

You are absolutely wrong. Bwhavior of staff members have not gotten any better. There is more that goes on there then what every one is led to believe.I'm so tired of children getting beaten by the grown adults not having a voice. Its sad. I've had a child go threw this twice. I've also seen with my own two eyes how they provoke the children. As long as they keep getting by with whats going on It will never stop!!
