Here is an article about a man proving entrapment by “Perverted Justice” at a jury trial: http://rsolwisconsin.blogspot.com/2012/03/jur... .
ALL OF THESE stings are performed this way and it is not only morally wrong but illegal. Scaring mostly POOR men into accepting pleas does not say anything about the legality of it.

Florida is now the Pedophile Capital of the US. Recent numbers show that there has been a 74% increase in the number of sex offenders as to only 23% for the rest of the nation over the past 5 years. Why is that? Is this a title that Floridians should be proud of? And how come this hasnt raised any eyebrows? The problem is that Florida is creating sex offenders not catching them by performing these random stings into the general population about every month and we are the only state doing such. Florida should not be in the business of testing the will of law-abiding citizens with elaborate (if improbable) fantasies involving any minor. See People v. Aguirre, No. G045009 (Cal. 4th DCA, April 5, 2012, and Lusby v. State, 507 So.2d 611 (1987). Although there are pedophiles out there, we are being led to believe that there is a much larger problem than there really is. Then how come we are the only state that has such a problem? This is an epidemic that has spiraled out of control. Why are counties that are netting the most arrests receiving awards as if it were some kind of game? The true sex predators, such as the Ronald Browns, are not lurking in the areas they say they are catching them. Congratulations Floridians on your new title!
OK peabrain, with your logic, a teller who is subjected to the temptation of stealing from the bank is really innocent because it was the bank's fault for exposing him to the temptation.

How about drug stings where officers pretend to be drug dealers and tempt drug users with either drugs to sell or money to make? The offenders were reallly innocent because they were tricked into making the transaction.

Other scenarios that blow your theory out of the water are espionage stings where FBI agents pose a foriegn representatives wanting sensitive information for large amounts of money. They bait the corporate or government traitor, the traitor takes the bait, they are arrested, and our government secrets and lives are saved.

People are caught in the act of soliciting hitmen for murder plots. They are baited into thinking that they are dealing with a person who will kill their spouse when in reality, they are talking to law inforcement and are arrested. A life is saved and a deterent is presented to others.

So you think perverts who are surfing the net looking for underage sex are different?

I can tell you that if anyone attempts to lure or talk to me about underage sex, drugs, stealing, espionage, or murder I have nothing to worry about because I will not continue the conversation. Is personal responsibility too hard for your simple mind to understand or has your morality degraded to the point that there is an excuse for any and all illegal activity? Hey MORON, do you understand the work DETERRENT? Thank God your stupidity is not dictating policy.

Underage Sex Sting Nets 43 in Tampa Bay Area 9/17/12
Detectives posed online as children and as parents selling sexual encounters with their children.

By Toni Whitt Email the author September 17, 2012

"A half-dozen men from Hillsborough County have been caught in an Tampa Bay undercover sting operation that targeted adults trolling the Internet for sex with minors, authorities said Monday.

A total of 43 suspects in the Tampa Bay area were arrested, including a St. Petersburg firefighter and a registered sex offnder, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

On Monday, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office identiified the 43 suspects arrested in the past week, and their addresses include Manatee, Pinellas, Sarasota, Lake, Hillsborough, Charlotte and Collier counties.

Jeremy Wert, a 35-year-old firefighter from St. Petersburg was among those arrested. A total of six men are from Hillsborough County. One had an Ohio address but is staying in Lakewood Ranch.

Authorities say the men were going on line to solicit sex with children.

Detectives posing as parents and as children went online to several computer chat rooms that are set up for people to anonymously talk about sex and to set up meetings, investigators said.

The forum in one of the chat rooms centered on incest. On that site detectives posed as parents offering their children up for sexual encounters.

Detectives in various undercover capacities subsequently set up meetings with the defendants at an undercover residence in Manatee County. The men went to the residence believing they were meeting up with a juvenile for a sexual encounter, authorities said.

The defendants were arrested on charges including Travel to Seduce, Solicit or Entice a Child to Commit Sexual Act and Use of a Computer to Seduce, Solicit or Entice a Child to Commit Sexual Act.

Some of the defendants were also charged with Transmission of Materials harmful to Minors by Electronic Device or Equipment, Lewd and Lascivious Molestation, Attempted Capital Sexual Battery and Possession of Drugs.

Among those arrested was Eugene Marshal, 43, a registered sexual predator who lives in Manatee County. For the complete list of the 43 suspects arrested, see Underage Sex Sting Arrest List.

The investigation is ongoing with additional arrests and charges forthcoming. FDLE, ICE, the Bradenton Police Department, and the Sarasota, Polk, Lee and Lake County Sheriff’s Offices are assisting in the investigation."

Hey, "talknstang", were the rights of these deviants violated? Trolling incest sites for parents who serve their children up as victims should be protected activity-right moron?

I believe it. Perverted Justice, Dateline NBC, and countless stings reveal the truth...... there are many, many predators out there. If these stings that the bleeding hearts criticize deterand one pervert from abusing a child, then the result outweighs any potential collateral damage.

Bottom line, if one refrains from having sexual conversations with what they think are underage girls or boys, one has nothing to worry about. Very simple concept.

hey Moronlogic, is that your boyfriend InfLORIDA? You two are clueless and now i know how one of you came up with your name. do some more homework, oh you probably dont know how to do that cuz youre probably a cop. But since you need guys or girls or both need some education. First of all, i am not saying that there are none that could fit the profile of a pedophile, but well over 90% are not. They are performing these for no particular reason, and not only that, they are using grant money to do it which in itself is ok, but there are some questionable funding issues that ive been looking into. How do i know this? Well its out there if you read the entire stories on these stings. That is why they are popping up all over Florida. The information is out there and if you need some guidance, just let me know. Also, read the North Florida ICAC site and see if the internet has created more pedophiles. Do your homework before you start passing judgment on things you apparently dont know much about. And Moron, one last thing, the Craigslist adult section under "CASUAL ENCOUNTERS" is not a trolling "incest site" as you would call it. lmao

Ok, so I've seen these stings being compared to drug stings. They are not even close. When a person Goes into an adult Website to seek adult companionship, they are not breaking the law, and they are under the impression that no one should be on there breaking the law as well. When you make a drug deal, it is common knowledge that it is against the law.

It is unconstitutional for law enforcement to break the rules of these Adult Websites to catch people following the rules of the web site. It clearly says on Craigslist Casual Encounters (where these stings have been taking place)that you must be 18 years of age before entering and that graphic language and images are present. If you go into the policies of craigslist it say you must represent yourself and have no fake ads. It also says no bait and switch ads.

In order for these cases to be successful, you have to prove disposition. Here is a question I pose to you that most morons can't answer: Why would a "child predator" get on an adult website to pick up children? There are so many other soft targets where kids congregate online. That is where our "brave" law enforcement should concentrate. When I see a kid being kidnapped on the news, 99% of the time they met the creep on facebook, yahoo or twitter.

You also want to argue about these people making the decision to show up. although these people did cross the line to make the trip, its still the responsibility of the Prosecuting attorney to prove that they had the disposition to do this crime. If they can't prove it, then you have to ask yourself why they did it. It comes down to a simple fact of Illegal entrapment tactics and living in the fantasy world of the internet.

There are several people that have been involved in these stings and never traveled. All they did was answer an ADULT ad then bait and switched into talking to a fantasy person online. This is a so called crime and law enforcement will travel across country to serve a warrant, in turn, destroying the persons life, even though there was no predisposition to go after this person.

Now to get down to brass tacks..... LAW ENFORCEMENT is creating unnecessary crime online to boost numbers, boost political clout and also to boos t revenue. They know as soon as you put a "pedophile" tag on a person, it's easy money because of the public opinion they spin. LAW ENFORCEMENT need to get off their butts, puts down the doughnut, and creep out from behind their computers and go hit the streets to catch murderers, thieves, abusers, drug dealers and real child molesters. that is how real police work is done. and those guys from "perverted Justice"... they are a glory seeking and money hungry modern day lynch mob. They got paid well when they did to catch a predator and and continued to get paid by law enforcement agencies.

The reason they have caught so many people, is because they are entrapping people that normally are not predisposed to this type of behavior. There is no way to prove predisposition if you are on an adult website. The stings are highly motivated by political aspirations and money. the FDLE Crimes against children task force was about to lose their funding in Mid 2011. when they started these stings the politicians got involved for re-election purposes and made sure that the task force had more money. what a better way to drum up support than labeling people as "pedophiles" (which they will have that label whether found guilty or not guilty the rest of their life). That label makes everyone in the community biased and so no matter what the person does they are guilty. This is why so many men plead it out, because they give up and figure they don't have a chance. This Pads the politicians numbers and that is why Florida leads the entire country by a large margin for people convicted as sex offenders.

This is laughable-
I'll dumb it down for you with a scenario-
Law enforcement places an ad on craigslist adult casual encounters. After some discussion whether through "bait and switch" or other situations. the person who responds to ad thinks that he is conversing with a 16 year old girl. STOP!!!!!!!!!! Right, there is where the coversation should end-period!! As soon as you think that you are having a sexual conversation with a 16 year old, any further communication along those lines is illegal-PERIOD!!!!

That is not what is happening-these men continue in the sexual conversation or "role playing" as you defenders like to call it with what they think is a 16 year old underage child. Everyone knows that sexual communication with a minor is illegal. But that is not where most of them end. Most of these men agree to meet what they think is a minor for sex. All of these exchanges are recorded in emails. There is no ambiguity in what the intent is. ADULT TALKING/MEETING MINOR FOR SEX.

No one forces these men to have sexual conversation with what he believes is a minor. As soon as he thinks that he is talking to a minor-CEASE~!!! Why is that ooncept so hard for you fools to accept. Are people not responsible for their actions? If the man stops the conversation, he has NO PROBLEM!!

You can't blame or dismiss abhorrent and illegal behavior by calling it "role playing", excusing it based on where the ad was placed, claiming the po po "tricked" the poor fellow into conducting and continuing sexual communication with what he thinks is a minor, or any other lame excuse that you can come up with.

To summarize-
1-Regardless of where an ad is posted, suspect violates the law as soon as he began a sexual conversation with what he thought was a minor - LAW BROKEN-GROUNDS FOR ARREST

2-Suspect continued this illegal communication and then agrees to meet the person who he thinks is a minor for sex-LAW BROKEN-GROUNDS FOR ARREST

MORAL OF THE STORY-IF YOU DON'T "ROLE PLAY" WITH 16 YEAR OLD GIRLS ONLINE IN THE US, YOU STAY OUT OF JAIL. VERY SIMPLE CONCEPT. IF YOU PREFER 16 YEAR OLD GIRLS, GO SOMEWHERE WHERE ADULTS HAVING SEX WITH 16 YEAR OLD GIRLS IS LEGAL.

Does any of this blathering have anything to do with someone getting online, talking sex to a person who he thinks is a minor(1st law broken)and then meeting who he thinks is a minor for sex (2nd law broken), and then being arrested and convicted for breaking those laws? What do your reference to "Florida ICAC site", "pedophile profiles" and "grant money/funding" have to do with the following-

Pervert gets online, chats with what he thinks is a minor about sex , meets percieved minor for sex, and then is arrested for his violation of the law. Who gives a rat's ass about who posted the ad, what the person's "profile" is, where it was posted, or what money paid for the post? Bottom line is one more pervert is identified and others are possibly deterred. If someone is stupid enought to get online and conduct sexual talk with a potential minor nowadays, they need to be locked anyway up to protect the gene pool from dumbing down. Here is a novel suggestion-IF YOU ARE TALKING TO SOMEONE ONLINE AND AT SOME POINT YOU FIND OUT THAT THEY ARE A MINOR-STOP!!!!!!!!!! YOUR TROUBLE HAS BEEN AVOIDED

Speaking of dumbing down, do me a favor talknstang. While you are conducting this important research on the conspiracy against perverts, please go back to elementary grammar school to learn how to construct a discernable sentences-

ok, well now we are getting somewhere Moronlogic and we can be more civil about it. Thats a good thing. Let me address your ICAC questions. This if from their site

Q. Has the internet created more pedophiles?
A. Again, a topic of great debate, but it's unlikely. Many psychologists attribute sexual preference to a sort of hard-wiring which develops in puberty. What the internet has been able to do is validate the urges that pedophiles have. Through collecting/viewing child pornography and chatting with other pedophiles, they get a reinforced belief that they are normal and that their tastes are acceptable.

Having said that, then how in the hell is Florida catching so damn many pedophiles via internet? That is why i wrote the article because they are not catching true predators. They are not determining who is or isnt one! In some of these advertisements, they advertise e.g. "2 sisters 4 hot 4" w4m19. Ive read the chat logs of several where there is not even any conversation with a minor, but the fake 19yr old tried to steer the conversation to sex after all of a sudden saying her sister is now 14. Hopefully that will explain things. The scenarios they use do not portray anything about a minor, but regardless, the Florida courts need to adopt the similar viewpoint of People v. Aguirre No. G045009 (Cal. 4th DCA, April 5, 2012 in which they said, "Our analysis suggests the government should not be in the business of testing the will of law-abiding citizens with elaborate (if improbable) fantasies of sensuous teenagers desperate to engage in sexual acts with random middle-aged men.(See People v. Grizzle (Colo. Ct.App. 2006) 140 P.3d 224, 227 ["It is, perhaps, inevitable that such an operation will ensnare an otherwise law-abiding citizen with sexual fantasies — involving conduct which is illegal, immoral, taboo, or all three — upon which he or she would not otherwise act were the opportunity not presented to them"].) "A normally-law-abiding person does not always take the high road in the face of pressures or inducements by the police or their agents. As Justice Frankfurter [once] observed ...`Human nature is weak enough and sufficiently beset by temptations without government adding to them and generating crime.'

Hopefully you will open up your mind and understand the tactics they are using are beyond unethical/immoral. Here is a quote from a commenter on my article.....I have no problem with sticking a needle in an honest to god sex offender, but I have a problem with the state arresting and charging people for what the state thinks they might do. Whats next, will police officers be allowed to arrest and charge people with bank robberies because they didn't like the way they walked past a bank....

The prosecutors still have to show predisposition that this person would commit the crime. With it being on an adult site, there is no way to prove it. Now as far as continuing the conversation... there are some that are not even predators that just have trouble shutting it off and saying no, because they are already on sexually charged website. It is psychological.... the police are playing into this psychology to induce someone that would not normally behave this way
