Sounds to me like the author of this article did not do her homework before taking these dogs in. She didn't check out the paperwork first then made an education decision, she just decided she wanted a dog then got one. Think before you act next time. And to go out and get a kitten was absolutely irresponsible. Kittens can easily be mistaken for rabits by greyhounds and most of these dogs are trained to go after the rabit. Sounds like she should finish her education, get a job hopefully with a good income and go out and purchase a dog from a reputable breader AFTER doing all her homework. Stop picking up strays you know nothing about then complaining about it later!

I adopted my greyhound threw Angel's. Everyone at the center was most helpful and kind. They want to see every adoption work out well. They will do everything they can to help you and your dog have a smooth transition from raceing to kennel to home life. It's not always easy but it is well worth it. My Angel "yes her name is really Angel" is a retired AA stakes racer, and a brood mom, who for 8 years thought her job was to chase small furry animals. It took some training, along with a lot of love and understanding, but she is fine with cats now. It seems to me that the author of this article is looking to blame someone else for her lack of education about the breed.

Adopted. 2x from greyhound angels never will go anywhere else! How can they have lied about the age of your dog? They give u a printout and you can look it up and you should think twice about bringing a cotton in any house with a dog unless you test it yourself

We adopted WV's Next in April 2010, after we lost our Rottie to cancer. We love him so much, the only thing is we had to clean his teeth but what he had to go through before, we are happy to have him and give him what he needs. I tell him every day I am happy he is here with us and I know you are too, and don't think he doesn't uderstand because he does.

He loves going in the car, doesn't mind going to the vet's, he loves the girls there and even the doctor, our Rottie did not like the doctor and what a pleasure it is to take him everywhere.

Sometimes people do not know how lucky they are and greyhound's are a gift and if we have them it is our responsible to take care of them. He is truly like my baby, 83 pounds of baby.

Love my Next!

I have two greyhounds, one from NGAP and one we just adopted from GAA, yes ngap has a better facility but do you know why, because the owner has money, Lisa cares for these s beautiful animals only from donations. So please don't judge her or the facility, she and the voluntee do the best they can. Also when NGAP started the dogs were in the same kind of crates and in a small trailer.

I have adopted three greyhounds. I got my first from NGAP and the last two from Greyhound Angels. I was lucky with my dog from NGAP, but they do not try to match you with your pet. On the other hand, Greyhound Angels does an amazing job matching you with your forever grey. I have had two beautiful, perfect additions to our home and am so grateful that Greyhound Angels does the work that they do to provide the best home for these wonderful animals.

Is this person crazy? I have adopted 4greys from GAA and they made certain that everyone was a GREYT match as I completed my applications. A person has to be very honest with them SO they can help find a good match for you. What I have seen over the 7years that I've been affiliated with GAA is that the adoption that doesn't work out, is the adopter themselves...not GAA. They MUST be doing something right since permanently placing well over 1,000 greyhounds.

So do your homework first and make sure you are right for a greyhound to enter your home!

Greyhound Angels is the best. Lisa absolutely know what she is doing. I have cats and they were tested and all one big family.I adopted 4. One passed 2 yrs. ago...she had a fall in the yard and became paralyzed. My 3 so loving are now 13. Very happy. I would not go anywhere else. They truly care about these dogs.

Our family came to GAA 6 years ago because it was the day after Thanksgiving and we just wanted to take a ride (we live approx. 70 miles from Pennsauken) and see the greyhounds; this trip turned into a love affair with greyhounds; we brought our yorkie with us and Lisa and Ira were very concerned since not all grey's are small animal friendly; we ended up with 2 greys that day AJ (now named Missile) and Ziggy. Lisa and Ira were very concerned with safety and urged us to keep their muzzles on until they got acclimated with our kids who were 5 and 3 at the time and our yorkie; As animal lovers it broke our hearts to have the basket muzzles on. It was our choice to remove them. The greys became instant family members and treated the yorkie as a member of the pack with no aggresssion ever. Anyone who blames others for their own stupidity bares the name. I would adopt another Grey at GAA in a heartbeat.

I'm currently an employee at greyhound angels. This post is shameful. You have no idea how much we care and love these animals. Lisa absolutely knows what she's doing with what she has. I have nothing to say to you except to not day a WORD about things you have NO idea about. If you are unpleased, go somewhere else and leave your attitude at the door. Thank you.

How ridiculous. Even if you did have a bad experience, by telling people not to adopt the ONLY ones you are hurting are the dogs. Not the people who run it.

You obviously do not care about the welfare of the dogs.

Unfortunately, you can't change stupid!! Hats off, and many blessings, to all of the employees and volunteers at Greyhound Angels!! By the way, is this the location that heads the "pick-up donations"?? I haven't received a mailer to schedule a pick up in quite some time. I'm trying to hold-off calling Purple Heart; not that they aren't worthy, you've just always been my first choice.
