Sounds to me like the author of this article did not do her homework before taking these dogs in. She didn't check out the paperwork first then made an education decision, she just decided she wanted a dog then got one. Think before you act next time. And to go out and get a kitten was absolutely irresponsible. Kittens can easily be mistaken for rabits by greyhounds and most of these dogs are trained to go after the rabit. Sounds like she should finish her education, get a job hopefully with a good income and go out and purchase a dog from a reputable breader AFTER doing all her homework. Stop picking up strays you know nothing about then complaining about it later!

I adopted my greyhound threw Angel's. Everyone at the center was most helpful and kind. They want to see every adoption work out well. They will do everything they can to help you and your dog have a smooth transition from raceing to kennel to home life. It's not always easy but it is well worth it. My Angel "yes her name is really Angel" is a retired AA stakes racer, and a brood mom, who for 8 years thought her job was to chase small furry animals. It took some training, along with a lot of love and understanding, but she is fine with cats now. It seems to me that the author of this article is looking to blame someone else for her lack of education about the breed.

Adopted. 2x from greyhound angels never will go anywhere else! How can they have lied about the age of your dog? They give u a printout and you can look it up and you should think twice about bringing a cotton in any house with a dog unless you test it yourself

We adopted WV's Next in April 2010, after we lost our Rottie to cancer. We love him so much, the only thing is we had to clean his teeth but what he had to go through before, we are happy to have him and give him what he needs. I tell him every day I am happy he is here with us and I know you are too, and don't think he doesn't uderstand because he does.
He loves going in the car, doesn't mind going to the vet's, he loves the girls there and even the doctor, our Rottie did not like the doctor and what a pleasure it is to take him everywhere.
Sometimes people do not know how lucky they are and greyhound's are a gift and if we have them it is our responsible to take care of them. He is truly like my baby, 83 pounds of baby.
Love my Next!
