not sure of rules, but preschool and headstart are different. Headstart is income based, preschool is not. As Mrs. Laster, i'm sure she can explain.

I allready know Mrs. Laster has people paying for things they shoulden't be paying for.
Who gets the money for the cookbooks that she is selling, and who is paying for the supplys that they are made with? And who's time are they making them on?How much an hour are we paying her to make those cookbooks?
Will stop here but could go on and on.

Mary Ruth Laster is one of the finest administrators Lee Co. has ever seen. Sounds like someone is just trying to drum up some negative publicity. Stickleyville School has a record to be proud of and some of the greatest teachers AND brightest students in the school system. My kids will be Tomcats just like dad. Keep up the good work, Mrs. Laster. You'd think people would learn that a lady like you CAN'T be made to bow out.

SES has some of the most educated and experienced teachers in Lee County elementary schools, children seem to score very well on their SOLs, always very competitive in county competitions, spelling, geography bees, etc.

They probably have more or as many students as Keokee, Elydale, and maybe Ewing.

"Pensil"? Hmmm... I'd say she charges almost twice what they're worth since "pensils" don't exist. Pencils, on the other hand, have been available in the office for at least 15 years and at a fair price from what I remember.

Well maby I belong back in grade school also, but I think like any other good business since we the public pay to keep the schools open then we should be allowed a monthly expence report from each school for every dime spent or raised!

The individual schools are accountable to the school board. In order for someone to have a fundraising scheme like you're talking about, everyone within earshot would have to be involved. Teahers, office staff, support staff and so on and so on would have to have knowledge that funds were being misappropriated or else someone would blow the whistle. I very seriously doubt that this cookbook conspiracy exists. Besides, Mrs. Laster has put over 30 years into the school system. I don't think she needs to embezzle funds to pay the bills. Also, she has been known to be a very generous contributor to charitable organizations. Generally, greedy people aren't generous. You may have some sort of problem with the school for some other reason, but you have no basis for your other allegations.

Yea. That is right. If we get hensley and brown back on the school board they can fire Mary Ruth and we can pay out the wazoo again. I heard that the last time it cost them $20,000 each out of their own pockets for their actions against Mary Ruth!! Not including what it cost the Lee County Tax Payers. Let's put those two back in office I have plenty of money just laying around to pay for some more of their stupidly.
