I knew this was coming. I guarantee this bill will be passed and you'll see table games in the casinos within the next 6 months.

Clymer sounds like he has dementia. It's time for him to retire. Seriously, TABLE GAMES attract the poor? Uh, excuse me, it's typically the wealthier, more educated people who play those games. The poor and uneducated are the ones who play the slots, which is what we ALREADY HAVE! Lame excuse from a lame politician. I'm not a fan of gambling, but since the casinos are here now, I think they deserve to be able to compete with those in other states. Why hobble them with pointless restrictions? Oh, I forgot, that is the Pennsylvania way of doing things (bass ackwards). Just look at our liquor sales and our roads and you have the proof of that.

How are table games more dangerous to the poor then slot machines. Most table games require some amount of skill and only appeal to those who know what they are doing. Slots require no skill and would appeal to those who want a quick fix.

If they get craps tables maybe I can spend all of that property tax relief on the craps tables!

Ok seriously this is such a stupid debate. Its the same one that they made prior to slots, and the sky has yet to fall on "our families, our neighborhoods...blah, blah." Table games will not destroy the fabric of society any more than slots, booze, sports or any other indulgence. Honestly I wonder if we actually CAN destroy the fabric of society any further.

The other problem with this story is the quote from Fast Eddie the POS. He said he doesn't think it will put a dent in the deficit. No shit Ed. Thinking gambling is a panecea is one of the things that got the Rendell circus into the pile of ca-ca they are in now. Hell the only person in this state with a gambling problem is the POS governor! Talk about unrealistic expectations from gambling, holy crap!

Here is truth, you are not going to get rich playing craps, the state is not going to get rich from you playing craps. You will have fun, maybe make a few bucks and the state will make some needed revenue. That's all people, not the golden fleece not the end of society.

Chicken little needs to find a new cause to protect us from.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
