As if it's anyone’s business, I'm NOT a felon and not a truck driver. I'm a private citizen with 37 years and almost a million miles of driving experience.
For many years, I spent a good part of my business day on the road, in a car. For every stupid act I observed being committed by truckers, countless acts of incompetence by private drivers were observed.
guest185: Yes, I know “what those government agencies are“. Do you know what capital letters, sentence structure and punctuation are? Apparently not.
Here are some statistics:
A 2006 Virginia Tech analysis of two studies conducted for the Department of Transportation found that 78 percent of crashes were caused by passenger car drivers.
http://www.truckline.com/Newsroom/Pages/Safet... USDOT: Fatalities involving large trucks are down 20%. See table 6:
http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/Pubs/811363.pdf USDOT: Lowest Traffic Fatalities in six Decades:
http://www.dot.gov/affairs/2010/dot16510.html The above information should inspire a bit of confidence in our highway system. Adding more Obama-style rules, regulations and agencies to oversee this issue would cost the trucking industry and all Americans time and money.
The judgmental hysteria shown by the semi-literate guest185 is dubious at best.
