Sounds great, but why don't they save the money AND KEEP OUR POLICE IN THE SCHOOLS !!!! What is MORE important, a beautiful City Hall or PROTECTING the KIDS ?

Yes, that area is in need of 1,000 residential units. It's so sparsely populated in Pembroke Pines, and these units will have a negligible impact on traffic, schools, water supply and public safety. Thank goodness the City of Pembroke Pines is finally developing the Pines Boulevard corridor. Now hopefully, they'll allow some retail development west of there, maybe as far as Hiatus or Flamingo.

Dont you people understand? Miramar built that nice big City hall last year. So of course Pines has to save face and build one that's bigger and better. Otherwise their egos would be hurt

Pembroke Pines is great for kids and seniors. But for the single family parents who work and pay taxes, they should have some fun also. The City Center idea offers someplace nice to go eat and have fun, cafe's with music, a downtown atmosphere where people walk around, an attractive place, outdoor concerts and such, with interesting shops, something different. I'm told there will be a small park in there, fine. It sounds great to me and to most people I know in Pines. So I'm looking forward to it and am eager to see it happen. This thing has been talked to death. I say move forward with it already before I get too old to enjoy it.

Thank you, thank you. I am also familiar with your material. Maybe we should consider doing a tour together.
