Todd County Soccer Coach Acquitted Of Rape

Todd County High School Boy's Soccer coach, Ben Drummond was acquitted of 3rd Degree rape Wednesday, March 7, 2007.

This will happen again. Next time the victim will not come forward and tell. Why should she. Look what happened to this victim. No Justice here!

This definetly WILL happen again. They were saying on the news that they wasn't sure if the girl was 15 or not. So what if she wasn't!! He still should not be able to teach. If there is any doubt in the school system then they shouldn't allow him to teach. Why would a teenager just come out after 2 1/2 years and lie about this? I tell you what, Drummond is a sick man!! He really needs some professional help!!!

Do you know Ben Drummond, his family and what this had done to him. I suggest you tight lip your opinion on his character and the "type" of person he is , because he was acquited becasue this was bogus and even though it was all not proven, it still ruined his reputation and his life and love of teaching and coaching... What a world we live in.

Why does everyone assume the worse? If one looks into the details of Rachel Gill's many stories anyone can tell she is not telling the truth. She claimed the first time they had sex was in the teachers house in 2004. It turns out the house was not built until late 2005. The court case records are public record - check them out!Anyone can make an accusation like this - you dont need proof. Is that fair? I thought in this country a person was supposed to be innocent until proven guilty? What happened?

he was sexually involved with a student before i graduated in 1999. so i would almost bet money this is not false. to my understanding she was his third student affair. by the was she described his house and most importantly his bedroom perfectly....so go figure!

How do you know any of that? Were you "sexually" involved with him before you graduated? She did not describe his house correctly - in fact - the house did not exist. From what I remember he was a popular teacher that cared about his students. A student can falsely accuse a teacher of anything and everyone assumes the teacher is guilty. Trust me, there are girls out there that know exactly what they are doing and will stop at nothing to get what they want. And, if they don't there will be hell to pay! This girl is a liar just like her mother.

This man was an adult and a coach/teacher at that. He had the choice. He chose to abuse. And there were several more than 3 before this girl. Ouch. All I am saying is look at the evidence. This girl you keep defending was the biggest slut in Todd County. Where is she now? Where is he? He is still with his family and he is still working in this community. He is innocent.

WHere is she? Married and having a baby and trying to leap over the hurdles that will pop up in front of her for the rest of her life. He took something she can never get back, and I don't just mean physically. It happened, you better believe it. And they may have both been at fault, but she was the child here.

I was Ben Drummond's class with Rachel when she was a freshman. I used to think that he flirted with her and Tiffany Macintoch a little too much. I don't know weather he did it or not, however, I do think he brought this on himeself. If he hadn't been so flirty with all the young girls his name wouldn't have been on the line.

She was never in Drummond's class when she was a freshman, or sophmore. the first time she was in his class was the spring semester of her junior year. And as for Tiffany M.- what bullshit. Who else do you want to throw into it?

I moved to Todd County High School my Junior year. Within the first two weeks of me being there, I was told all kinds of crap about Mr. Drummond. I was even told he was having an affair with an english teacher there named Mrs. Ralston. Everyone knew Mr. Drummond liked to flirt with the girls and a few of the female teachers. So whether or not he had sex with anyone underage or had an affair with any of the teachers, he brought all of this on himself. Therefore, he deserves whatever he gets. I think it is a shame he was aquitted of the charges though.

I taught across the hall from Ben Drummond for three years and witnessed the young girl's attempts to attract his attention- anything from "bending over" as he stood in the hallway on supervision duty, to sitting on his desk and "hanging out" in his room after school. Ben was not from Todd County though he married a local girl and joined a local church. He was young, enthusiastic and handsome so the girls vied with each other for his attention. I am not surprised that he had to face such accusations as an accusation is easy to make. I feel for his family.

Your statement makes no sense. You said whether or not he did it, then say you're upset that he was acquitted...So you think he should have went to prison but aren't sure if you think he did it or not. I sure hope you never serve on jury duty.
