I so sorry for them. I keep on hearing poor kids getting hurt during the summer. I just hope people can use more cuation and see where they are going.

How sad for these boys' families. Two hundred children in a pool - I don't know how anyone could have kept proper watch over that many children, even if there were 10 lifegauards. Of much less importance than these boys' lost lives is the fact that this article is poorly written. Whoever wrote this article needs to learn proper grammar and punctuation and use them.

How could this have happened? Not one but two drownings and not even discovered until 10 pm!! unacceptable....someone needs to be held accountable for this! My heart goes out to the families who lost their loved ones.

Media portrays drowning victims all the time as screaming, arms flailing around etc.. Drowning victims make no noise, don't scream nor are there arms usually ever above the water.

We had a drowning. I learned about the 'Buddy System'. It was installed and the problem went away. We also used the last pair to join up to police the area for five minutes. In a week we had the cleanest swimming area in the state.

I Like Felicia Comment. To Many Kids And Not Enuff Lifegareds. And Why In The World Are They Doing Out Late Anyways? Shouldn't The Pools Be Closed Like At Like 8pm.-9pm. Are Is This A 24 Hour Swimming Area.

Quit reading further into the message. No were did it say that they had 200 kids in the pool. It says that there were 200 kids at the camp. At most camps they divide kids into groups and break off to rotate out activities.

This looks like two kids snuck off and was doing something that they should have not been doing. When somebody noticed they were gone, it was too late.( I could be wrong, but don't assume some body did something wrong when you don't have proof.

May God be with the families of these two boys.

The lifeguard to swimmer ratio is 1 to 25 so technically they had enough guards. This being said im sure they will be looking into the training of the guards.

The kids were at the pool so late because this was a private party. The pool closed at 8pm to the public.

My son was at the camp and we just picked him up after an assembly that included many prayers and tears for the boys that were lost and their families. The leaders and life guards are heart sick and trying to cope with the question of why this happened and how. I have yet to hear or see any evidence of negligence or wrong doing on the part of anyone. People need to wait for the authorities to complete their investigation and not prematurely conclude that any person or organization is to blame.
