JACKSON, Tenn.- A Jackson minister and businessman was sentenced Tuesday to four years and seven months in federal prison for failing to pay more than $3.6 million in federal income taxes.
Last May, Isaac Brooks, Junior, 60, pleaded guilty to two counts of a 29-count indictment for income tax evasion. Records showed Brooks operated "Temp Owned Temporary Services" from 2002 to 2008.
He started "Full Line Maintenance" in 2003 and was a minister in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
In additions to his prison time, Brooks must repay the $3.6 million to the IRS.
