Jason, Thanks for the story. That is exactly what I want to hear. These are the things that don't get out much in the media. As a matter of fact I have a friend that has received one of the Habitat for Humanity homes. How wonderful it was for her and her kids to have a home to call theirs. They take such pride and care of it, it is amazing. And to top it off she continues the "good deed" done for her by doing things for others.

I find this quite interesting. I suppose "good" is a subjective adjective and therefore can definitely apply to goods and services. Of course if we carry that thought line further, that means that there are jobs that are connected to them, that's good, right?

On another plane, I have to tell you there is something good happening here. I have the most wonderful family and am thrilled to be part of it - because of them.

Sure, lots of good things- but you have to look. That's what I was doing when I say your post, looking for good news. I am the editor of both The Turtle Mountain News (Rolette county)and Midcontinent News (Rugby). I only write good news. Of course I don't have enough of my own to tell about, so I spend a lot of time surfing the net, looking for positive uplifting stories. If you'd care to read some of what I have found (and will continue to look for) check them out on the web. Actually, they share content (they're both the same) and while TMN has been around for 10 years, it has only been on the web for the last couple of issues. Midcontinent News has only been around for 2 issues thus far, but they are online. Check them out if you care to.

Oh, nothing to buy there, and I gain nothing from you looking. I just thought I'd try to share some good news.

I know good things are happening every day.People just like me and you are doing them.I do not have alot of money but I paid the people next doors electric bill. They mail cut off notices in envelopes with red borders on them here.Their bill was put in my mailbox instead of theirs. It was 30 degrees and i could not stand the thought of them being without heat.I paid it and they do not know who or why.BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD.They can be small acts of kindness everyday.Buy food for the food bank.Help an elderly person.Watch out for the weaker people in your world. You will change the world.

I believe alot of people in the world for what ever reason look for the bad in every thing. I also believe it's time for a change for all of use on this planet, I too also look for the good things and wouldn't you know it, there are just as many if not more good things happening everywhere than the bad and I also believe if we start to demand that the networks and the radio "well" the media in generall start changing the program's we could verywell win this.I am not saying what is right for all of us just saying we could start somewhere .

I've also seen negativity after negativity on the news. But the one good thing thats helpful for everyone thats happening, is the economy is slowly getting back to normal. What i hate though is global warming, that keeps getting worse, no one seems to much about it even though we know about it.
