That's right, this tragedy should never have happened! I can ride around the city I live in and notice how many over-grown trees there are. Then when there's a storm like last night and a tree hits the power lines, people wonder why.
Homeowners....check your trees closely to the curb. If there overgrown or look sick, have someone come out and determine if the tree is your property or city property.

This is a terrible tragedy that those children will suffer for the rest of their lives. However I think that there is no blame to be placed. Some things just happen it doesn't mean it's somebody's fault. They knew the trees were there and there was a storm that doesn't make it their fault. They didn't know the tree would fall just like the state could not predict the tree would fall.

Its called an act of God. People in todays America always look to blame someone whenever something happens. If you think the parkway is dangerous because of the trees than stay on I-95.
