Rebuilding is the key word. She let an historic building fall to the ground. But, that is old news. She is now an MBV trustee, I can live with that. Change is needed, and her selection is a change all right.

We need Alan and Gail on the board, the vision team is dead. They turned on Paul and will try to push Mayor Bill around. Mayor Bill is stronger then Paul was and wants this village to work for the people. Bob and Ken have to go then the board can control Gary. I think a lot of people see a chance of the village making it with a new board of trustee's. Carol is the new kid on the block but lets give her a chance we have nothing to lose. I also think that the new board will get rid of Fred and the S.S. press and look for something more positive. I know Gail and Alan have said this and I think Mayor bill will agree it's better for the village. Mayor Bill has a lot of pride in the M.B.F.D.and I think he wants the people of Mastic Beach Village to fill the same way.

She didn't "let it fall". If it was classified as a "historical building", it wouldn't have been demolished BY THE OWNERS! So what, to you she's God? She has the power to decide who gets to keep their buildings and who doesn't? You're an idiot. Done with you. Enjoy the village now that Carol is working in it.
Oh yeah, suck it.

The "owners" let it fall? Really, you don't remember the story do you/ The parks dept was restoring the building and carol was in charge of this project. She let the construction crew remove the siding and the interior walls without bracing the framing and the whole damn thing collapsed. So now, thanks to carol, the TOB is paying 5 times as much to rebuild the structure.(A waste of money since it is no longer historic).

I didn't appoint Carol, I don't really think this will be as bad as I originally thought. Someone needs to rein in the one-sided dealing. Let it be her.

Finally, someone with reason. Blaming Carol for that project is like blaming Paul for having Gary's cousin mess up the Riveara rd repairs. The contractors who were hired should know the job. The inspectors should know their job. Blaming a council women for the mistake is petty and childish.
Fact is, Carol is the only one on the board with experience.

Just to clarify, Carol was not a councilperson when the building collapsed. She was deputy park's commissioner. She also brags all the time about what an expert she is in regards to historical buildings. While I do think she is a loser and a pompous a**, I will give her the benefit of the doubt and see what decisions she makes as a trustee. I am hoping that she will be independent and not just go along with Gary, et al and that she won't let Fred Towle lead her by the nose.
