I for one and way past being disgusted with many of our Adam's County's law enforement officials. It is sad as to what are community has became. There are two kinds of justice in this county. The first one being that if you have a badge or any form of connection with our county's finest such as,husband, wife, son, daughter,n eice or nephew than the law has a totally different standard for you. You will never be arrested but if you by some fluke do get arrested well never fear because it will be swept under the rug. Now we have our law enforcers, they can sell narcotics as a deputy and do they go to jail? Well hell yes as a jailor for the sheriff's department. Let's see we also have a deputy that has stalking charges on him over his ex- girlfriend working in our county. Pretty scary huh? Why is it that you can look in the paper and see people who are out here selling drugs and they don't go to prison? Instead they sent them to the S.T.A.R.S Program but you take a young person who is naive to believe that if he tells the truth and actually tries to change his life for the better he gets sentenced to prison. I am applaud at the substandard living conditions of the county jail and at the fact that relatives of our law enforcement are constantly getting out of jail free cards. We need to have our county officials removed and the corruption cleaned up! After all isn't the laws supposed to apply to EVERYONE not just a select few? I personally believe that NO official in the position of Sheriff,Prosecutor or Judge should be allowed to serve more than two terms than maybe they would stop believing that they are God.

I have to agree on some aspects but disagree as well. My father is a police officer here in Adams County. The law applies to me as well as everyone else. I been to jail. And I did not get this get out of jail free card you are talking about. Now granted it was over a misunderstanding with child support but I didnt get no special treatment. Now I am not saying it dont happen but please keep in mind that is not the case for all. My dad would slap me in jail as fast as he would any other offender. I agree that there are some people who need to be stripped of their positions as well. But please do not BY ANY MEANS put ALL law enforcement officials on the same page. there are good ones out there as well as the bad. So please rephrase your comment

I am aware that there are some good officers in our county. My first comment stated that I was disgusted with "many" of the law enforcement officials not all. I am glad to hear that your father is an honest officer. We definitely need more like him.

Hey cops kid no matter how much you try to sell us on the whole "my dad is a good cop" thing do me a favor and save your breath. There are no such things as a good cop. They are all lazy no good for nothing assholes. They all need fired and replaced with actual cops who are willing to do the job and get this town cleaned up. Get rid of all my previous listed druggies and stupid morons.

Are you trying to make the point that if you do not break a law then you shouldn't know anything about our laws and repercussions? If so then I have to say, I am highly disappointed in our citizens of today's knowledge about our judicial system. If a person was to never get in trouble, it seems to me that they should be the ones who have more intelligence regarding them; Not the other way around.(btw Your grammar is horrible)
My thoughts on Adams Co. Law Officials is to agree to disagree.
While I am sure that there are a lot of officers of the law who go into the profession for the right reason, there are also people who see it as a power kick. I can't count the amount of times that I've read a news article or watched the evening news and have been informed of another cop that has turned dirty. It's sad really.

For instance mark tolle robs a bank and gets three years probation and lets not forget he has been in and out of jail for failing drug test 4 times. But a man gets 18 mths in prison for recieving stolen property. Hahahahaha what a joke. I say shut down all yard sales its entrapment organized crime by the sherriffs dept.

Well if any of you are old enough to take yourself back 20 years ago you can start with your Sheriff! He was an investigator when Fulton was Sheriff and was as corrupt as law enforcement could get. If my memory serves me correctly, he left law enforcement in Adams County for a good 15 years because of his corrupt behavior. Now he is your Sheriff. Yes, I say "your" Sheriff because I know longer live in "your" county. Sorry but somethings will never change and your Sheriff Dept is one of those things. It was corrupt 20 years ago!
This is true, I was here then and its not just this individual its some others that have been there for numerous years. But, there are some good genuine people who do work there.
