What was the deal at Monday's Commissioner Court concerning the RCDC monitor? What makes the current one, who has been collecting a check since the 90's so special? Why did one commissioner really back him...was it because this one is in the pocket of an ex judge?

What a load of crap, really. Fire the current one and put someone in there that will take care of the county, not his wallet. BW has probably visited the facilities less than 3 times in 2012.

BW is Bill Whinacht. My question is, why do we pay the county attorney, Miss Alva Alvarez, employ that putz Whinacht and pay for a separate attorney service, which by the way, I saw where the county terminated that contract. It appears the Mr. Whinacht and Mr. Contreras hired them when they tried to "kill" our property with their bonds. My disappointment with Mr. Trujillo and Mr. Taylor, is at best, HUGE. Is Miss Alvarez incompetent? No she is not. So to have several attorneys on the county payroll seems redundent.

He actually goes out to the prison. I thought he was just another one on the payroll.

We are at fault. We vote these people into office. We need to vote the people that actually want to make a diference instead of just earning another paycheck. Lets not make the same mistakes over again. It's our county and we need to take control of it. We have the power to control our county. Next elections, lets forget that we may personally know the candidates, lets vote for the right person.

We do need to watch whom we vote into office. Do they take bribes or give buddies work, even if it costs the taxpayers more money?
I feel that most of thses elected officials are in there for what they can get. Do they really care about this community.....no.

Yes their buddies get work for sure. It's the same group of people. The person running the golf course...His position was created by an elected buddy. He even gets a county vehicle! A county vehicle for a golf course manager?? Who owns the land where all the workforce housing is being constructed around town?? The commissioners get the info on all properties up for auction, foreclosures, etc. and they/buddies buy them. The county rd and bridge.... When was the last time they ever did work to our roads?? Especially now with all the truck traffic..are they going to wait until it costs the triple amount to repair?? We the citizens need to be more involved in the decisions for out town. It's sad to see that Ft Stockton has no oil boom like us but yet they prosper an even exceed in the amount of business, etc.
