FBI and Reeves County Road and Bridge

I remember when the county roads were taken care of by each Precinct Commissioner. They were for the most part in descent shape; at least you could drive on then at the speed limit without damaging your vehicle.
Ever since they created the road and bridge department our county roads went downhill. You can't even drive on the roads without damaging your vehicle. You are better off driving on the bar ditch than on the once descent pavement.
What do you suppose is being done with money allocated to the road and bridge department?
I surely don't think it is being used for material or labor to up keep the roads!
I really wish our commissionerís court would audit the road & bridge department to make sure everything is right and no one person or group are lining the pockets with county money and leaving our county roads to deteriorate. If all the money is going to department heads and none to material and actual labor, then, I suggest we simply do away the department all together. Why pay someone to do nothing?
It's my understanding that the road & bridge head does not even have an engineering degree. That means that there would be added cost on consulting for any design on any work being done on county roads and bridges.
We need to elect people that are willing to make a change and stop the waste of our money. What do you all think?

These people fixing the roads need to do proper asphalt repair. just dumping asphalt in the holes is not cutting it. cut out patch areas, apply oil and then asphalt and compact it properly with a jumping jack or roller. green acres is a prime example of the crap work the road department is doing.

I bet if the FBI looked into this department, they would find that county money is going where it should not. I bet there would be another arrest or two. I'm tired of seeing our county roads going to hell and the Road and Bridge Department head getting fat with county Money!!

The county commissioners. They know what is going on. They are only in there for that overpaid position!

Bill is an attorney. Russ is the department head of the road and bridge.
Maybe Russ needs to spend a little more time on his county job.

Friends/colleagues confide in one another. Bill being a smart individual, would obviously give wise council to a fellow colleague. Those who are successful typically socialize with others whom are successful. Covering all angles is a must in all aspects of life, and friends leaning on each other is normal. As per who Russ answers to seems a bit rhetorical, or perhaps you do not understand how a town is governed? Or maybe you could also start your own family business and get a piece of the pie? At least there are a few locals taking advantage of this 'economic boom.'

Bottom line is don't watch it pass you by, make new friends, make a new path and get yours. In this country, you still can.

I am not going to sit here and debate things that have gone on over the years, not 2012. You obviously donot know the politics in this county. I am not talking about one person.
