Mountain Man

First of all I wish the Nadel family luck, and my prayers are with them.

I've hunted, camped and hiked this mountain in which Mel is missing, even the locals who know this area often get confused. On one side of the ridge you end up on a road in the middle of nowhere between Mora and Las Vegas(about 10 miles through rugged terrain). The other way you end up walking to a road which will take you back to some kind of civilization.

The pecos river is about 10 miles SW down the canyon, where if he were walking he'd hit numerous roads. There is NO way he could of ended up near the Pecos River, much less near Kilmers Ranch, unless foul play was involved.

I know its hard to stay combing the same mountain over and over when no clues are found. But knowing this rugged mountain I promise, the answers may be right there.

I will be in this same mountain for many days the next month and I will definatly keep an eye out for ANYTHING that may help.

Once again I will hope and pray for some closure for the family.

My prayers are with the family, I wish you the best of luck finding Mel. I live in the area and unless this man is hurt he would have hit some trail some road leading to some village or home in the area. It is very strange that he has not been found. Something does not add up. Good Luck Nadel family.

The mountain tops here in Santa Fe had snow this morning from the storm last night. I do hope this gentleman is alive and is able to find his way out.
