Car Cut In Half, Driver Killed In High Speed Crash

A motorist died Friday morning when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a power pole in Baldwin Village, according to authorities. The man was speeding and the car split in half upon hitting the pole.

The accident took place on La Cienega Boulevard near Rodeo Road at 1:35 a.m. according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver was traveling north on La Cienega when he hit a pole on the east side of the road., Sgt. John Cudworth of the Los Angeles Police Department's South Traffic Division told a camera crew. Read more
