So Long Tom....Justice is Served. Too bad it won't erase the damage he has caused over the past 3 decades. His parents must have paid the Herald to not allow comments. The truth can be painful. His parents are obviously enablers to this predator. You know the saying "Like Father- Like Son"

I do have a life.....That slime bag didn't get his way with me..he is lucky to be alive...or maybe I should say unlucky? Maybe one day you will be a victim of one of these types of crimes and will have a different outlook. Yes..I do blame his parents...at least I blame his father...his poor mother might be stuck in a situation she can't get out of...The apple does not fall far from the tree in this case!

I agree, the Apple does not fall far from the tree. and thank God we do have a life for some of us, but not for others, unless you have been attacked you would not understand, how huge this is to see he is finally going to pay for his sins. now brother David needs to pay as well. in due time, in due time. Thank you, Judge. for doing the right thing

"Get A Life" is probably an enabler him/herself. Parents who coddle and enable their children have no one to blame but themselves for the shame and embarrassment their spawns bring upon the family.

What is wrong with Monterey County? Eight years for rape? And he will only serve four? WTF! Emma Jaime kills her hubby over tacos and get's six years? Something is wrong in the court system in Monterey County. No wonder Salinas has so many murders.

I am appalled he only got 8 years...he should have gotten life in prison..period. There is something wrong with our legal system, but there is such a thing called KARMA. I feel sorry for his victims! Justice was not served.

I saw a website with the blogs of several woman who were victims of Mr. Pollaci over the past 30 years. If only half the woman who wrote in the blog told the truth, he had an amazing amount of sexual assaults. I wonder why this guy wasn't locked up years ago. I also was kind of shocked that Ron's Liquor hasn't experienced legal action in the past.

I don't know how or who would be the source, but it might be interesting to figure out how to prevent this type of person from beating the legal system for so long in the future.

Only 8 years?
I encountered Mr. Pollacci when I bought a soda from his liquor store one afternoon. He made some completely inappropriate comments to me about pornography. I did not respond, as I figured he wanted a reaction, which I refused to give to him. He was creepy and made my skin crawl. I haven't stepped foot into Ron's Liquors since that day, nor will I ever again.
Nice to see sometimes the bad guys get what's coming to them.
