My husband caught me cheating and he has threatened to take my children. Can he? It was a mistake, but how will the court view it?

This is totally untrue. He can't take your children just because you cheated on him. He can only take them if he can prove you are an unfit mother - as in - you have physically abused your children, neglected them, or put them in bodily danger. If your children are fed, clothed, loved, and taken care of, then no, he can't take them from you - whether you cheated or not. Common misconception. People will tell you this and that, and they "know somebody it happened to". But, if they do, there was more to it than cheating.
