You would think that a CEO that loves Strickland would want to invest money for a plant in Ohio

But wait... I thought the Scotts CEO was promoting Ted Strickland saving jobs in Ohio....

Opps.... I guess not.

More jobs leaving Ohio.

BTW: I stopped my service with Scotts because of the endorsement by their CEO and poor quality lawn service.

Doesn't have anything to do with Strickland. The cities in MS offered a better deal. Wonder why no cities in OH offered the same. It's a shame that a local company went outside our state, but can't blame them.

Guess their company President isn't such a Strickland fan after all?
I guess you got this wrong. Scotts hosted a large fundraiser for George Bush just before he was elected the second time. That don't sound like a Strickland fan to me.

Ohio ranks in the top 5 states for its anti-business environment.
Businesses which intend to survive this economy are understandably fleeing for more tax-friendly states.

Or countries.

The jobless and job-creators will follow.

Go figure, everyone bends over backwards to give tax incentives for big businesses - no one wants to give tax incentives to small businesses who are less likely to move away and are more likely to grow.

Jim Hagendorn the Scott's CEO endorsed Strickland because Strickland help to keep jobs in Ohio.

And yes it does have something to do with Strickland. More jobs leaving Ohio.

Thanks for the endorsement Jim Hagendorn.

Another TED failure.....

I'm guessing Hagendorn will be gone in less than a year. For him to publicly endorse a losing candidate is a bad idea.
Host the fundraisers at your house, send out e-mails from your personal account, but to place your mug on a commercial is bad.

I stopped buying Scotts products when they decided they had a right to tell their employees what they could and could not do in the privacy of their own homes. Tobacco is a LEGAL product and this WAS a free country. Scotts' endorcement of Strickland reinforced my belief that I indeed had done the right thing. I guess Scotts loves Ted Strickland but doesn't love Ohio. No matter. They can take their products and their company and put it where the weeds don't grow.

Apparently you haven't seen the commercial with Scott's President or CEO endorsing Strickland?
Well, you are correct, I have not. The next question is why did he switch from being a Bush supporter to a Strickland supporter?

As soon as I read this article I wanted to place my thoughts in the comment section how their President was pro-Strickland because of the jobs he has saved. I guess I'm not alone in where reading it led my thoughts.

Me, too.
The double standards at Scott's is something else. I know of contractor who told me he could almost "taste" their products from their smell in the warehouse.

Manure will work just as well and at least it's natural.
The CEO of that company probably knows manure well as he is full of it himself.

Hope they run the new plant in Ole Miss a lot better than the one here. An environmental nightmare, part two, coming to a State near you.
