A June 17 Star-Bulletin article advised that the "Bankrupt Hawaii Superferry seeks court approval to abandon its two vessels." As a former Department of Defense comptroller, I believe it is clearly in the public interest for Gov.

Were you born and raised here? I was along with my parents, grandparents and their parents before them. As I see it the problem is the mainland transplants ie. Sierra Club, Maui Tomorrow, Etc. are the problem. The main people that I saw were non locals at these protests. One day they will drive all the locals out and the only view they will have is the walls around their gated communities.

Obviously it's a no-brainer, David.
You SHOULD quit the employment of the state of Hawaii and become the President or governor of Hawaii.
Why should you deprive yourself of everything you are ENTITLED to?
Yes that's right, If I can become VP then almost anyone can. The wining and dining is even better than you can imagine.

Unfortunately, place of birth does not automatically insure intelligence, wisdom, rights, or even being "right". Interesting that you could deduce where people were born by what you "saw." Was it the color of their skin? How they spoke? Or just the fact that they believed enough in a cause to get up off their butts and make a statement in public? And as far as mainland transplants taking over, who exactly were the owners of the Superferry? How many locals were on their board of directors? And Linda Lingle who OK'd it all- how many generations back in Hawaii does she go? Certainly, the SF employed many "locals" at least as far as I could tell. That's to be commended. But I imagine they also employed their share of "transplants" too. I know you are simply cherry-picking the transplants you want to blame. You blame the transplants who insisted that state law be followed (in spite of the many "locals" who also insisted the same) and you welcome the transplants who gave you a job and a fun way to get around in return so they could make their profit and get their political points all while avoiding state laws.
