The Rail project will do nothing to improve traffic. In fact traffic will become worse with Rail.

Build rail because Honolulu needs jobs.
Sure it costs a lot, but so does people being out of work.
Face it. All public works projects serve unions first, and the people second.
And as union officials are fond of saying, "Members are people too."

I can hear them now outside my window.

The sound of taxes going north.

And the father of rail and sewer fees 5X that of cost of water used is now running for Governor.
Traffic on Nimitz is never free flowing now. If I was a tourist just landied heading to Waikiki would wonder what I had gotten into.
But we can listen to Mufi's radio program.

I got a nail in my tire on Nimitz once. Never go that way now...too long and slow. Just stay on the freeway until I get to Kaimuki exit.
