Nice, loser punks in their 20's on a work day without jobs cruising OJ Simpson style looking for a bucket of fried bird. It is like good ole Tombstone, AZ. Just open up some brothels, gambling parlors, and throw in some liquored up miners and you got yourself a frontier town Hoss!

it is sad that criminals nowadays don't heed the Law and obey their orders. The cops have a hard job, D@mn if you do, D@mn if you don't

Too bad the cops are bad shots, they should have ended his life right then and there. Now, we as taxpayers have to house, feed these bums of Life

hmmm, where's Lopez's parents comments that their good, kind son who'd never do any wrong to anyone and their condemnation of Honolulu's Finest.

let's hear what lawyer is taking on this case against HPD and the officer's who fired the shots. Lopez is well known to PC cops so they singled him out and shot him being tired of seeing him going thru the revolving door

How do they know he was the one that stole the car? The Hawaiian Nation does not condone that kind of treatment of our people. This is not over.

The police have a hard enough job without people trying to run them over. They are doing a great job in Hawaii and that's why we have one of the best police departments in the nation.

Alice, what they do know is that he tried to run down and kill a cop. Your are right about this not being over. It wont be over until all of the criminals like this guy are either dead or locked up. There are Hawaiians on both sides of this incident, don't make it racial.

Finally some good news - I love it when HPD uses their weapons to stop the low-lifes in our community. I'd be happy to supply the ammunition!

Good job HPD!

The cops are too kind, they should have killed both of these criminals. Put them out of their drug induced misery. Come on cops get more shooting practice so you can put a couple of bullets between the criminals eyes. So sad good people get addicted to drugs but save them by stopping their suffering and kill them. Mahalo, have a nice day.
