Army Logistics contract Layoffs

Here we go again, for a failure of the government to manage a workload and required funding. A few of us got word today. I sure as hell am not going back to work for an Army contractor. The government workers only look out for their own jobs despite being overstaffed themselves but choose to axe us contractors who do the work.

NOLJO, that's bullshit and you know it. My contractor neighbor got his notice the same time federal workers got their notices. Obama is weakening the nation as much as he can by doing it low-key. I get so fed up with hearing how you contractors are "doing the work." Do you ever work for free on your day off? Do you stay late or begin early to finish a job? Do you use your vehicle for government purposes? Do you ever spend your own money on government stuff? Do you take work home with you? Federal workers do it all the time. I worked with two women that actually kept working at Pearl Harbor as it was being attacked by the Japanese. They saw everything through a window, and one of them's husband was standing outside the building firing a rifle at the Jap pilots. Are they the lazy employees you speak of? They etired in the nineties. Federal workers deserve some job security because they accept lower pay. Many times a contractor's work has to be re-done because a slick contractor's lawyer has juiced the contract on purpose, in order to get paid for "extra work" via contract over-runs that would have to be done automatically by the government employee. That's where the contractors really rip off the taxpayers. Sure, there are some lazy asses, but it applies to both sides. Your beef is with Obama, he's in charge of the shutdowns.
