This is a heads up and a warning to the fine residents of Peachtree City, GA. You now have a person named Mark Duke living in your midst. He is clever, charming and presuasive. Watch out, what you see is not necessarily what your going to get.

He heads up a "non-profit" organization known as the Freedom Foundation, which is actually a front for the House of God church. He has a bunch of mindless groupies from Colorado that he convinced to move to Selma, AL. He is a true cult leader in every way and his band of followers fit the mold of a cult by any description.

He has a "legal" wife, 2 "spiritual" wives and kids of his own living with him. He shares time between the spiritual wifes so they may not be in the new house in Peachtree at this time.

If he follows the same pattern as before, he will try to influence local key residents who he thinks can help him politically, financially and socially. In Selma, he tried to use the race card to garner support for his IRS scams, using local black youth as his avenue to make a name for himself and the Freedom Foundation.

There are many people in Selma who can tell you all about Duke and his nefarious affairs. There is also a forum on Topix that will enlighten you as well. A good investigation should begin with some of the local churches in Selma. By the way, Duke owns a church in Selma as well, which he now uses as a home base for his other activities and scams.

Beware Peachtree, don't be taken in like Selma was.

Truly said, Outsider.
I have a granddaughter who got sucked into this cult in Colorado and moved to Selma and severed all relations with our family.
Listen to Mark Duke's own words on the audios on this link:

Hey Folks--
If you want to meet your new resident just google
Mark Duke, Selma

Pass the information to all your family, friends and neighbors.

You do not want to deal with this man, his House Of God/Freedom Foundation.

People in Selma and many others from Many States (who have family members in this cult) have been working for over 2 years to expose this man and his CULT.
Do NOT let him get another foothold in your city.

I'm confused. Is he in Selma or PTC? Also, if he is in PTC, did he buy a house? Is he starting a church? Please explain.

He purchased an $800,000 home in PTC but also has one in Selma (and one in Colorado). I don't know if he is planning to start a church in GA. IMO, you can't believe a word he says, you just have to wait and see what he does. I DO know he purchased a historic retail building in Selma and started renovation about two years ago. Now it sits with boarded up windows and is the biggest eyesore in our downtown area. I have seen no one working on it for over a year. One of his "spiritual wives" said money was the problem however Duke was able to pay $400,000 down on his PTC home. Here is an article from our local paper with the information: http://www.selmatimesjournal.com/news/2009/no...

Maybe he will decide to "help" your downtown area and renovate one of your buildings too!

There is a thread concerning the FF/Duke in the Selma Topix forum. It spans two years and has over 13,000 posts. If you have some time you might scan over it and see what the FF and Duke have done in Selma: http://www.topix.com/forum/city/selma-al/TJI4... .

Please visit www.wewillfindthetruth.com , which is my blog about the House of God / Freedom Foundation / Selma Community Church / Parker Community Church and the rev. Mark S. Duke, who founded the House of God Cult which spawned the other groups.

On the blog, you can hear Mark Duke's (and some of his followers) own words, and they are disgusting.

Protect your families Peach Tree, a cult leader has come to town - watch especially your wives and daughters!

Mark Duke and his "legal" wife Rebecca(Becky)Duke (who is also a leader of the cult(s) and their ancillary organizations) live in Kedron Estates.

If you have more question, please visite www.radar13.com - my contact information is there.

Please be aware Peachtree city resident! He will attempt to prey upon the youth relentlessly! I dont want to sound like another "crazy hillbilly from Selma Alabama" but this man has moved many times claiming to fix communities and help the people. He is a man surrounded by deception, lies, and deceit. Be careful with him and watch him with a close eye.

Dear Residents of Peachtree City:
I too watched from afar with my reserve as my girlfriend, who lives in Parker, Colorado, joined this church. I read all the mean-spirited and misinformed quotes about it and assumed that it was a cult.
As a side note, Mr. Duke drove about an hour to meet me, even though he did not know me personally, to counsel me on my marriage, which ended up falling apart due to infidelity. He did this for no compensation whatsoever and out of a desire to help a friend of one of his churchmembers ... He also went out of his way to meet me again in North Carolina, both me and my husband. Now we are divorced, as it was clear my husband wanted nothing to do with change or fidelity, but please be aware this was my own choice and not the influence of Mr. Duke or any other.
Over the past 2 years, I have watched with happiness and immense pride the change and growth in my best friend and her marriage under the counseling of several from the church in Parker, Colorado. These people have been supportive and constantly in touch, have helped each other in physical and concrete ways. Your average church out there, as we all know, consists of a slap on the back and a "How are you there, brother?" but many don't even care enough to bring a meal over to the sick.
Meanwhile, the Random Acts of Theatre Company in Selma, Alabama, continues to fluorish and offer the more underprivileged youth in the community a forum for creativity and a chance to be involved in the arts and to have a sense of accomplishment.
Tell me, with all of your sanctimonious name-calling, have you gone out and helped someone personally today? I say, Judge not .
I have seen nothing but a heart to reach out to people coupled with the love of a family for those in need in the spirit of the Acts 3:16. I am proud that my friend belongs to this fine organization and look forward to spending more time with them now they are in Peachtree City. We need more people who are looking outside themselves than people who are looking inward. What did Christ do but go out on the streets but help the poor in needy? And didn't He tell us to do likewise?
Just thought I'd put my 5 cents in to rattle around with all the other loose change in this forum. Of note, my only tie to this church is that I have met some of the members and Mr. Duke briefly. I do not belong and don't know where they meet, so you can consider this fairly objective opinion. It interests me that there is so much opposition to this Freedom Foundation and the work these people are sacrificing their lives and their careers to do. Perhaps it is really accomplishing something. Wasn't there a lot of opposition to the Reformation as well?

Ms. Dickson-
May I suggest you go to Selma and see for yourself the division the Freedom Foundation has caused there as I just did?
Listen to mr duke himself as he spews out his hatred againt the white population on the radio.
Go to their church where my daughter was THREATENED from the pulpit should she make an attempt to see her grandchildren.
Visit them in their communal homes and get a list of all the wonderful things they are doing for the community. Please share that information with us since we cannot find ONE single thing they have done.
Look at that plastic wrapped abandoned Teppers building on main street which they claim on their website as a work in progress but has been abandoned for two years.
Speak to my granddaughter who is now nothing but a robot, parroting all the same phrases and lies as her fellow members.
Maybe you could even join the dance on the bridge, knowing how they lied about it being backed by a college til said college stepped in and told the citizens of Selma they were not involved.
Make no mistake. There is nothing but total control by mr duke for any one who gets involved.

By the way, ms.Dickson, on the radio show mr duke portrays a bigoted white man (Daddy White) who has a daughter Lily White and wife Pearly White. If you can listen to it without throwing up then get a recording of it. Then he turns around in real life and sneers, smirks and belittles the black population of Selma, threatens boyccotts, threatens lawsuits and has even threatened individuals. He is nothing but another Jim Jones in the making and you surely must know how that ended.

since duke preaches that the congregation can "lie to the devil" (which is anyone outside and not a member of the group), we will never know if you are a lier or just someone who met him briefly (which means you have no clue about the man's heart, motives etc.).

there are 4 or 5 current "cult experts" scattered across the nation who have labeled this group a cult, so mr naomi, I'd suggest you wake up and smell the coffee and quit drinking the koolaid.

the married off a homosexual man to a heterosexual young woman just this weekend.

peachtree, if he plants roots in your town, he'll start playing musical chairs with his marraige arrangements and marraige counselling in your town as well.

Ms Dickson.....One of the things that always interests me when someone speaks glowingly of the wonderful things Freedom foundation members do wherever they may roam, is that the person defending never seems to have seen or asked questions for themselves; they just accept what they are told. When Mr. Duke and his followers, who were told they must move to Selma in obedience to God because Mr. Duke said so, arrived in Alabama, they held a public meeting to announce the purchase and planned renovation of that derelict downtown building to house a Youth Institute, and ice cream shop, businesses, etc. He said he was rich and they were flush with money, so didn't need anything from Selma....just wanted to give, give, give, as they had done for the poor in Douglas County, Colorado. In Colorado, he said, they had a hospital, doctors and nurses who made house calls and worked with the poor. I called city, county and state officials in Douglas County and found that it was all hot air....a lie. No hospital, no doctors and nurses and....Lo! and Behold! Mr. Duke announced shortly after that Freedom foundation was moving headquarters to Selma, because there weren't enough poor left in Douglas County! Strangely, the agency that actually DOES help Douglas County poor, still has plenty to do. AOOT is correct....that old building is yet derelict, partly because they were doing demolition using amateur volunteers from Freedom Foundation and their expert architect was not yet licensed to know what he was doing. Inspectors finally told them the building was unsuitable and dangerous....but they present it as finished and the home of the Youth Institute on their web site. Are you getting the point....If indeed you are honestly interested in the truth? Your friend may present a rosy picture of her work in and sacrifices for Selma, but what she presents is a lie. Your marriage might have ended after counseling from a pastor in a traditional denomination, but it comes as no surprise to anyone reading here who has experienced Freedom Foundation and Mr. Duke's teachings that your marriage ended in divorce after his counseling. You should do some research for yourself to learn the percentage of marriages that were ordered to end because one partner refused to obey without question Mr. Duke's heresy. You should also know that Mr. Duke is on tape saying that it is alright to lie to the devil....and know that anyone who is not one of the obedient followers of Freedom Foundation and Mr. Duke IS the devil....and that includes you. You speak critically of churches other than Mr. Duke's.....You are in good company within the teaching of the group. They have expressed almost the same scorn for other church groups and have asked, in writing, that they not be prayed for, because "we do not worship the same god you do". Indeed, they are not just another denomination but Mr. Duke tried very hard to be welcome to preach and teach in Selma's pulpits and has publically called Selma's black and white pastors racists because they were less than enthusiastic after hearing what he believes in and what he stands for. I suggest that you ask your happy, smiling friend some pointed questions, because another fact is that no one is allowed to ask questions they do not like, nor is anyone allowed to disagree with anything that they say or do....even if they know it to be a lie. You will see a different side of your smiling, happy friend....and unless you decide to obediently agree, she will cut your friendship off at the knees. Good Luck.

I suspect ms. D probably knows Selma well. probably even lived in that grandest mansion in town....or maybe in one of those communal housing projects. Seems to know an awful lot about RATCO, what with her being from Georgia....and about the work the FF are sacrificing their lives and careers to do. Kind of strange how so many UNCONNECTED people just happen to stumble on to these forums.

Now this is a hoot! People from Selma just transferred on over to this forum. OLD NEWS!!

People in Peach Tree - You have nothing to worry about. These are good hearted people and these rednecks from AL are far behind the rest of the world. I believe theres a group of about 15 that hate the FF, thats it.

WARNING: Do not listen to what these people have to say on this blog. They will lie, and twist stories. Take things people say out of context.(Although they will tell you its the FF that is doing this) Its really like reading a national enquirer. You know its not true, but some people I suppose will be convinced regardless. I would just encourage you to talk to someone from both sides if anything, look at the fruit of the people lives. That is what I did, this way you can make your own opinion up as you go.
