1st charge; Taking without permission,
2nd charge; possible DUI??
3rd charge; reckless endargerment of life?
The insurance must not pay out on this, it was all down to stupidity.

I was wondering when something like this was going to happen. I have seen teens being totally wild on their carts. What started out as a great idea years ago has turned into a liability. All I ever see driving carts anymore are teenagers. They are rude and inconsiderate. I love kids, but they just aren't showing any manners when it comes to the carts. Not all, but most.

I don't want to jump on anyone. I just wish things were like they used to be. I know, I know. Nothing stays the same, but it is annoying. The carts ARE fun, however, there are so many trying to get around, the fun is pretty much gone. I usually drive where I am going now.

I think the city administration has their heads buried in the sand on this. The cart system is a total liability issue for PTC. We need cameras, call boxes, speed sensors, etc. The city built the path system. It is only a matter of time before someone with a good lawyer hits us with a serious lawsuit.

And whose fault is that?

Well, obviously the parents. They are just happy their kids have entertainment without them having to be involved. They are either assuming their kids are following proper protocol or they just don't care and are glad to have their kids out of their hair. jmo.

THANK YOU What! That is the exact answer I was looking to hear that people these days do not realize. You were right on!
It is nice to know there actually IS a few people left in this country with common sense when it comes to children.

I can not believe the lack of concern for the life of this 17 year old girl .May god bless you all with perfert children. And may nothing ever happen to them.
And since no one knows anything about this family, let me tell you about them. They are a caring ,loving, close knit family who do everything together. Not a family who want others to watch there kids. They just happened to let their 17 year old sleep out that night and was having fun with her friend that turned tragic. This family has not left her side since this happened. And remember she was 17 not 13 almost an adult.
I guess all you parents of 17 year olds have their kids next to them at all times. How about we all say a little prayer for her instead of saying these horrible comments. May god bless you all

I would think under normal circumstances, it would be kind of difficult to get run over by a golfcart. Still, I certainly hope that she makes a full recovery.

Sean,I am so proud of you stepping up to your sisters defense. The people writing negatively or judgementally have no clue of what compassion means.May there lives never be touched by tradgedy. You are exactly the kind of brother your Mom raised you to be.Your words could not have been said better. We all love April and have not let her or your/my family out of our thoughts and prayers for one minute since the accident. The best outcome will be When April makes full recovery and we can laugh and make jokes ,but for now there is nothing funny about someone so special having to suffer so much.
