What our town needs

What a nice shop has opened on the corner of 205 and 74. The Beanstalk has eye-catching window displays and wonderful staff. It is a great shopping experience. A great start to welcoming Marshville patrons back to town. Now if we could only get travelers to notice Main Street, we might be able to survive. Heard the Wagon Wheel changing hands again and Long John Silver coming on the other end, we need to keep the movement going. Stop by and see the phoenix rising.

It is a consignment store and they have everything from beautiful prom dresses, children's and adult clothing, sheets & curtains, kitchen items, some furniture, toys, baby items , lots of jewelry, purses, books, etc. Some items are new, but all are clean, sorted and in good condition. You have no parking problem either. Stop by and check it out.

Tanning business coming to Main Street. Wagon Wheel under new management again. Roses in bloom and town is looking better. Maybe we should hire Fern permanently a town manager?

I can remember when it was hard to find a place to park at the Wagon Wheel, back when Buck Little owned it. IF the Wheel would cater to the hot rod groups around, they MIGHT get some of that old business back, after all, a lot of the hot rod groups today, are the same kids who used to pack the place back then. There is ONE big difference in them then and now though, now the hot rodders have MONEY!

The tanning salon will last through the summer and shut down, the wagon wheel wont last that long, Fern is just Fern.

Fern was hired. Now maybe the town can start moving forward and let us hope she can mop up most of the mess Ms. Reid made. Things are looking up for the town. I don't believe I can say the same for Pilot Mountain.

Well I wish the community would get down to business and get some POSITIVE suggestions coming. It would be nice to have some current events listed in the paper. Maybe a welcome booklet for newcomers so they know what we have in town, with addresses and phone number. That way maybe we will keep some of the Monroe money here. Don Hall Auction brings people here. What else can we do to achieve this?

What does our town need? Well, for one, our local high school, Forest Hills, needs a new Principal.

We need need teachers that use tobacco during class to be fired. Thank goodness we have a principal that will do just that. Bet the teacher left that out of his news interview.

Why not open a mini-golf course? Indian Trail has just opened one That would keep all ages busy.

Better use of Hasty Road property than Anderson Health facility.
