Barney Frank and ACORN pressured banks into giving mortgage loans to people who could not afford to pay them back. This led to the near collapse of our banks and a global recession.

Niki calls ACORN's activities "despicable" but she voted to continue giving them billions in funding from our taxes.

Not surprised, most of MA has become a haven for people with confused minds.
Most call themselves Catholic Christians but then support abortion, and morally corrupted democrats like Barney Frank. The MA. legislature is the worst in the US, it has denied people the right to vote on many issues, deciding whats best for US.
The MA democrats even changed the existing laws to promote their own party agenda, that alone is hypocrisy and shows a totally corrupted society. 8 out of 10, that is horrendous and tells you what we are dealing with in this state. But then year after year the people of MA. who complain about Kerry and Frank turn around and vote for them and believe their LIES once again. Those idiots have been fooled 10 times over and over. I cannot believe the people of MA have become that F'd up in the head.

She is just a Democrat puppet. She does not represent the voters of Greater Lowell. Time for her to go.

"She did, however, call the behavior displayed by ACORN employees "nothing short of despicable" and feels strongly that ACORN should no longer be permitted to receive federal funding in light of the latest developments in which two ACORN employees were secretly filmed apparently advising a couple posing as a prostitute and her pimp to lie about their profession and launder their earnings. "

Talk is cheap you peice of crap, Ninny. The bottom line is you voted to fund Acorn no matter what you say.

Massachussets politics needs an enema and has needed one for several years. This is just another defecation in the face of MA voters, the same voters that keep voting in the same loose bowels over and over. Granted Niki Tsongas wasn't voted in but, she was put there by the inept screwballs that were voted in.

Laughable, quite laughable. Good luck Massholes! See you on Election Day when you are going to vote the same people in again. Do they just re-issue you the voting card that you had last time? After all, nothing ever changes anyway. I would say that you can't vote for Kennedy again because he's dead. But, ACORN will find a way around that like they did when they registered dead people to vote. Maybe that's why so many Mass. Politicians want to continue to fund ACORN - So that they can find a way to re-elect a dead Kennedy.

Your white racist explanation of the cause of the financial system problems is mistaken. One can always tell the white racists when they make that false accusation. a person with your mentality would not understand the complex economic, political, financial factors, and would look for where a black face might be whom you could blame, or a gay person or a woman, I bet! If the amendment was worded too broadly, it could cut off aid to respectable organizations, and it is wise to call that to the attention of those who work out the final wording. any fool can jump on the anti-acorn bandwagon, and be too much of a coward to insist on a fair and complete investigation, and on carefully worded legislation. Issa comes to mind as an example of the type who likes to demagogue on various issues.

Acorn discussion topics are a great places for white racists to get together, and support each other's bigotry and hatreds. Acorn is a code word, for "let's get together and trash poor black people." no one who criticizes Acorn ever mentions the indictment and guilty plea of the Young Political Majors operative on voter registration charges - but that was a white GOP outfit, and they did illegal voting registration activities to benefit Republicans. The right-wing media, and even mainstream media, did not bother with that story. It did not fit in to the racist story-line.

I have been very critical of Acorn for what it actually did wrong - which was to hire lots of total incompetents, who did not go out looking for real persons who were entitled to register to vote, and get them registered. Acorn hired the wrong people - partly out a foolish wish to give employment to neighborhood people, or street people. They should have hired poor and honest and capable college students, who would do the work under adequate supervision, and get some sort of college internship credit, and thus have to do it correctly. But if one wants to hate acorn simply becasue one is a white racist, then the real facts are irrelevant. The same is true of those who want to hate Acorn and believe right-wing film-makers, who have not been proven to be honest persons. I support an investigation of both Acorn and the film and film-makers. But I bet those on the right do not want anyone to check whether the film had been edited to not be accurate.

There also should be more investigations of groups like Young Politial Majors, and of the illegal voter suppression activities of the gOP in several recent elections. And there should be more concern about Bohemian Grove types, and FLDS types, and Catholic priests who are pedophiles, and the Church higher-ups who protected them, if someone wants to pretend to care about morality! I'd like to have a private investigator report on Rush Limbaugh's trips out of the U. s. for iffy purposes, also.

Those aren't right wing film makers. They are journalists that are showing real footage of their own investigation. They aren't film makers. Much like Dateline shows pedophiles on hidden camera, so don't these independent journalists show how corrupt ACORN is.
