From what I'm hearing the condo is a total loss, but none of the other buildings have been affected. My sister is in building 3 and although that aren't technically letting anyone in, she was able to get in and get her dog. Police have the road blocked and residents have to park at Bennighan's restaurant nearby.

I don't believe the fire was caused by a cigarette burning in the mulch. The mulch and dirt are wet from the sprinklers that go off every day automatically. I heard peole smelled gas prior to the fire and that the gas lines were faulty due to using plastic elbows instead of metal ones which were more costly? Also there was a small fire in Building 11 that is not being reported?
