Hey, governor,

Full story: Lowell Sun

Gov. Bill Weld would invite you in for a beer. Gov. Mike Dukakis would call you into the governor's office to share a soggy tuna-salad sandwich accompanied by a limp pickle.

Are you seriously wondering why the Governor doesn't waste his time with a 3rd rate local newspaper? Maybe it is because your industry is dying. If it makes you feel better the Governor probably isn't wasting time talking with people chipping away at stone tablets. 50 years ago, before computers, cell phones, the internet, etc. you were a little more relevant. But now, you refused to update yourself, you went the way of the dodo, and you are rightfully forgotten. As a tax payer I'm glad that our state's #1 doesn't waste time talking to the likes of you. The Governor's office has given you exactly as much respect as your position deserves.

Although he won't be getting my vote, I do have some respect for the man. Gov. Deval Patrick ( or his office) has responded to my 3 e-mails to him with in 24 hours. I did appreciate that.

Sorry, Lucas, but "Ergo quid" doesn't mean "Who cares?" You're looking for "Quis curat?" on that one. "Ergo quid" would mean "therefore who." Definately not how you'd ask that question in Latin.

Does anyone at this paper actually know anything? Or do they just pretend to?

give the kid a break, he's only been on the job a couple months. It's a bit of a funny article that reads more like a forum post than a newspaper article. Maybe if he said "pretty please mr guvnah, talk to me"

As a long time pr guy who worked in the White House, Boston City Hall and elsewhere, I find it appauling that the Governhor's press staff refused to return a simple phone call from a newspaper colunmnist. It illustrates that they are not ready for prime time, not that the Governor is but at least create the public perception that you are.

I wouldn't give Peter Lucas the time of day. He's a chump and hack.

It all comes down to cui bono and the problem is none of the T-party crowd cares what it means.
