thinking about moving to payson area. I will graduate nursing school in June and thinking of moving a little after that.
How's the weather in winter and summer? Any natural disasters prone to the area? Good schools? healthcare?
I have a 5 year old and want to move somewhere safe and all that. want things to do that arent expensive, etc... like taking her to a zoo or chuck=e=cheese are her 2 fave's/
we live in the bootheel of missouri right now and I HATE it. We just got hit by all the ice and snow this morning which is unusual for us.. we are in tornado alley and my daughter cries when it storms... we are right on top of a fault line that had a 8.0 earthquake back in 1811 (200 yrs ago) that caused the ground to liquify, we use to be swamps.
Absolutely positively do not like it here. I live in a small town of 700 ppl and the closest place would be about 20 minutes away on narrow highways.
What about the population? Are there a lot of illegal immigrants there? I dont care to live around Mexicans, but Im in America and expect ppl to talk English ya know....

Payson is a nice town. Summer it gets around 100degrees and winter we get snow and rain. Our snow on the ground only lasts for a few days so it is nice. And there are alot of illegal immigrants. But most of them speak English. But you being a nurse the hospital is no good. It has a horrible reputation. Myself being in the medical field I commute 1.5 hours to Chandler for work. Good luck!!!!
