Many liberals are scrambling about trying to come up with their own little "geen scheme" to get rich quick a la Al Gore. The good folks at Air Pollution Controll District are all in "lock step to liquidity" as well. Their goal is more TAXATION, although the public battle cry is always to "save the" 'planet-whales-dolphins-rain forest-'cause de jour. The only thing they can come up with is a way tack on "fees" and pass it on to working folks just to support the ever expanding liberal giveaways and "social programs" LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER.

I am tired of the name calling of Liberal, Conservative. We no longer can live like John Wayne, carving the land to our liking. There are too many people for everyone to do as they like. Autism is up 500%. It is not a matter of diagnosis, it is a matter of damaged chromosomes and gene expression. Individual freedom when it does not impinge of the freedom of others is a right. It is not a right to use drugs that make you damage your children, to use pesticides that damage future generations. It should not be a right to destroy the heritage of future generations. Americans have become so selfish and self centered. Our grandchildren are going to curse us and detest us for what we have done and what we have knowingly done to them. For those of you who pretend to be Christians, what if this earth is the only heaven you really will get? Most Christians have become Sinisters, where they revel in being sinful to prove how much God loves them. Selfish, Selfish, Selfish.

Hey Independent, I did say mental disorder. The term mental illness is usually much more serious and sometimes treated with psychoactive drugs. In fact the comorbidity between drug use and mental illness is so highly prevelant it almost guarantees the user has some kind of illness or disorder. Which if we take this a little farther may lead to an educated guess that liberals are far more likely to use drugs/alcohol...We may be on to something here. Perhaps YOU are closer to the truth! Maybe liberalism is a mental illness! You have opened my eyes, stimulated my curiosity perhaps succeeded in diverting me onto another path altogether.

Actually rhondar, we all are a wellspring of different psychosis and neurosis. Did you know that when tested, depressed people actually have an accurate view of the world and their own smallness in it? Happy people are actually self deceptive. They over evaluate their attractiveness, their importance to others, and their abilities. Reality actually hurts.
The old labels of liberal and conservative don't work anymore.

The real labels should be self oriented (ie, I'm going to win the lottery someday so we shouldn't tax rich people.... I want that stuff for my pain, even if kids get their hands on it. It's their problem if they do, so what. Rules are made to be broken. All the other CEOs are stealing too.)

Or socially oriented.(ie Dang, I hurt and feel like bleep, but I am not going to do or take anything stupid because I might have kids some day... or my kids need me... or my grandkids need me on my toes. I don't want that poison around even if it feels good because it is bad for the kids. Or, darn ants, but this stuff might float into the neighbor's yard and hurt their kids.)
True Christians are actually concerned for their neighbor, turn the other cheek and try to gently teach peaceful living. There are many who are quiet gentle and true Christians. The problem is that they are quiet in a noisy time.

Salutations Pesticide Illness! If you really want something to sink your teeth into why don't you get a group together to talk to the nut farmers about the spraying schedule that has increased 300% since the introduction of the new "hybrid" trees. These super producers bear many more nuts but a what price? The new trees have leaves that are irresistible to the caterpillars that can decimate an entire orchard. All summer long up to every two weeks the orchards are sprayed using turbine jets to get the job done. The old Hartleys have leaves that are not as palatable to the caterpillars. This pesticide is a pretty potent one affecting all the birds and mamals that inhabit the orchards. It is so sad to see animals poisoned trying to right themselves because of the neurotoxins seeping into their little bodies. After spraying you can usually find birds that fly into the ground instead of the air, they try to crack open nuts with their beaks but can't hit their target. The birds that are fed carbon dust for a week seem to recover. But then go on to produce healthy offspring? It's dangerous to try to help the raccoons and squirrels, Fish and Game isn't interested because these animals aren't "endangered". Something should be done about this. Yellow Billed Magpies are found only in a small area of the Sacramento Valley, they are beautiful birds and deserve to live in a more healthy environment.

I agree whole heartedly with your statement about the trees. I didn't know it was that bad. Got any suggestions on how we can tackle this?

I am very serious. You are a socially concerned person to care about what the hybrid trees and chemicals are doing.

The ones who don't want to hear this would call you a treehugging liberal.

Labels are horrible because they are breaking us up as a country.
