I know that people panic after making a major mistake, however, this kid and what 3 others in the car whom also did not inform police until the poor girl was dead, had time to think about their actions and go to authorities. They all left that girl to die. The parents.....All I can say is that they are not smart at all. If they really wanted to protect their son, they would have had him surrender to police and face the music. To intimidate the others in the car into " not telling" I truly believe that they should have served some sort of jail time or at best community service. It was all about them. To hell with the poor victim, her famiy and the poor idiots that were passengers in that car that struck that poor girl. SHAME on them all.

PLEASE I hope the victims family sues them for EVERYTHING. They probably still think what they tried to do was the RIGHT THING. Their son is a product of them and will be just as bad the rest of his life. Talk about NO accountability for your actions. What are our court systems thinking???? They should be spending YEARS in jail for this cover up.

we are all taught to listen to our parents
we were never told that they could be wrong sometimes
these parents should have gotten more time then their son.their son trusted them.
message to the wines family: not that money can make up for what happened,but....just to teach then a real lesson since justice failed.Sue them SUE THEM FOR EVERY PENNY THEY HAVE!!!!!!!!!! and trust me they have alot!!!!!!!!!! give it to charity if it makes you feel better but hit their pockets thats what will hurt them the most.
one more thing......dont we all think that New Island Reality should fire her??????
