Well Joe Larry from Murder beach, you can blame B&C all you like and say they were wrong but that just go to show that you are like most of the clueless in Murder Beach.
As always you need someone to educate or enlighten you.
I am no fan of B&C but use your brain. B&C was ready to cash in on the Pavilion and gave the city several deals that they could not refuse, but the pickled brained politicians did just that. They refused to pay the money that B&C demanded, so look at how it all turned out. Yes the morons should have paid. That has become quite clear to everyone that has a brain that still works. Do not blame B&C for understanding the true value of the property, blame the slow minded pickled brained politicians that refused to buy the property from them. No matter what price B&C was asking, it would have been worth it.
B&C made it clear to the so called leadership, buy the pavilion or they would simply tear it down.
The slow minded city council could only focus on one or two things at a time. They ignored the pavilions importance while being obsessed on the failing convention center/hotel. The leadership is and has been pathetic for many years now which explains why Murder Beach is now at an all-time low and why it is no longer a fun safe family friendly beach.

The Pavillion has been gone for a few years now. and all that sits there is grass. B @ C you guys are and have been wrong for closing this park down. why dont you invest some of your money and build a new Pavillion on that empty lot.
At least they put Zip line in there so it's not so empty & depressing

I think it was smart because it like everything in this vastly sluggish economy.. Losing value. It's going to take another 10 plus years for things to regain value & start to make a roi again..& there's your educational economic lesson. What goes up must come back down but who's to say it will go back up again. If u don't understand what I mean pull out your economics book

Been coming to MB on vacation for basically 30 years. I can tell ya my childhood and especially my teenage years were all about the Pavilion. My brother and me would walk from whatever hotel my family was staying at and ALWAYS go to the Pavilion. Usually the same rides year after year, but it didn't matter. Ocean Blvd was where I wanted to be, every night.
I'm 31 now with a son, and its really sad to know he will never experience what I did. These days there is YouTube, HD video, etc. and all I have of the Pavilion is memories. My only wish (other than it still being here) is that I would have taken videos/pics of that place. When I think of MB I think of the Blvd & the Pavilion. Now its overpriced shows everywhere, & the strip is dead. I hope I never forget those great times!

It was the heart and soul of myrtle beach. I hav ent been back since they tore it down, I'm not really sure I wanna see the place without it. Seems to me like that giant sky wheel and zip line are signs that the beach side rides are missed in mb. Maybe I will be back this year but I yearn for the days of mother Fletcher's wet t shirt contest , pool parties , and peaches hotdogs and the pavaillion.

Yea it's crazy it was torn down in what, 2006? And still it's an empty field with just that zip line thing. I still go to MB at least once a year but I usually don't go on the strip. Yea the sky wheel is Oceanside but its close to where il the Pavilion was. I'm thinking of taking my nearly 5 yr old to Family Kingdom this year.

never really liked jersey or Italian people maybe I should add the jewish community for that matter. Yet in the south we love the slow and steady. We german and irish people get along fine with most but as history shows us all germanic and irish people never have liked kikes and italians. Just dont mess with our way of life. As long as we are happy, money is second in line. Rude behavior and acting like youve just done a line of coke or are on meth going 90mph just dosent sit well with us.
