I'm thankful for these wildlife preserves and the people who have enough foresight to make them happen.

Wow- great program! Can we do the same thing for politicians? They could do less harm that way.

They just need about 10 times as many of them. We go up to the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve all the time, and just never know when we'll actually get to see the buffalo. They have room for thousands more.
I'm glad that this preserve has been set aside, but
I took my family there a coupla years back and found
it to be a boring visit. If you decide to go there
don't get you expectations to high..

There is enough room for a few of the mustang horses that the government was going to put down? I would think that would be a great addition to the TallGrass Prairie Preserve.

if you want excitement- go some place exciting. This is a chance to do something calm and educational. Some children (mine being one of them) needs a chance to go do something that is not overstimulating- but still allows us to do something as a family. I would love to take him in the spring, let him bring a camera, take a pic nic and spend some quality time learning about mother nature and the environment. If we NEED to do something exciting- we go to the fair or laser tag. But I think this a great way to spend some quality time enjoying something bigger than the preserve itself! So much to learn! So much to enjoy!!

There is a place in Davis Oklahoma that sells nothing but Buffalo in their restaurant. You can also buy cuts of meat there in the store. I can't remember the name of it but it is really close to Turner Falls and Falls Creek.
