I just wanted to let everyone know that this was from a state evaluation back in 2004, this year Pawhuska nursing home did excellent on their state evaluation receiving only 5 deficiency's. Most of them paper errors. Pawhuska nursing home is a very nice place to work or live. I suggest that if you have doubts have a look your self! There are worst places to like Osage nursing home.

Every time an inspection is going to take place, the hospital or nursing home to be inspected is told before hand the inspectors are coming.
That gives them time to make things look better for the inspectors.
Then when the inspectors have come and gone, its back to buisness as usual.
I did not learn this from a book or online.
I have spent many years working in this field and have seen it happen this way over and over and over again.

The inspectors should have the right to show up without warning, if they don't already. These horror stories I hear from nursing homes are absolutely astounding. Some of the teenage "nurses" they hire to care for the elderly are complete lunatics and druggies. This story certainly doesn't shock me too much, because the state of Oklahoma seems to hold the title for almost every negative statistic available in this country.
