If you read this the way WOOD wrote it, you would think that he set his house on fire with the shotgun.
Don't be in such a hurry to write the article.
However, the guy was quite stupid.

"took a 20-guage shotgun and set the house on fire."

Was it like Walker, Texas Ranger, where he shoots the propane tank and the house explodes?

WOODTV is a joke!! I read it just to laugh.

ok, for those of you needing interpretation, it doesn't mean he set the house on fire with the shotgun; it likely means he took the gun, THEN set the house on fire
Thank you !!!

I dont see what is wrong with setting your own house on fire?

Doesnt say anything about wanting to gain on an insurance claim.

And seems to me the most valuable item in the house was the shotgun.

So maybe he was attempting to clean up the neighborhood, get rid of an eye sore.

Probably too drunk to realize that his wife was not in there and when she did not come running out he went to go check the bar ??? Drove around the bar a couple times to see if she would come running out of there so he could blast her with the shotgun ??

Firefighters could get hurt fighting the fire, for starters. There is also the possibility that it could spread to neighboring homes.

It blows my mind when people do things like this. Do they seriously think they are going to get away with it. Like his wife isn't going to know who set the house on fire when the police ask her. Idiot!

Im still laughing about the connotation of finding the guy "soot-faced"... LOL

I may not like their reporting, but the subtle innuendos of wood tv and radio are always amusing.

"wake up with wood".....

LOL

They really did save lives...

This guy found out his wife was cheating on him with his nephew, so he took 15 gallons of gasoline and tourched the house. He took the gun because he was going to kill them both.
