Church Mergers: 3 parishes will join to become St. Brendan on the Lake

Our Lady of the Rosary in Wilson, St. Bridget's in Newfane and St. Charles Borromeo in Olcott will become St. via Union-Sun & Journal

a few weeks ago I visited Olcott, saw that our parish name had been changed, the rectory for sale. Very sad to me. St. Charles Borromeo was never much of a church, granted, but it was there all my life every time I came home. I was shocked to see it all disappearing this year.

I agree. It is sad to see my ever faithful church merge. I'll always remember Father Wagner. I will remember summer church school. I am disappointed to see St. Charles move from Main Street. Olcott won't be the same. I guess the Catholic Church will never be the same either! It is very sad!
